im inferior because I use drugs, Im superior because I have reset my insulin sensitivity, but im inferior because I gave into peer pressure yesterday and ate an icecream when I didnt even want to and it goes against my diet, I need to stand up to judgement and say fuck no icecreams is trash, ill stick to eating my ground beef and cheese, even taste beeter then the blueberry cheesecake icecream did, I should have at least gotten chocolate

I actually have an addiction to ice cream. My gf hates me for it because I'll want to make multiple stops for milkshakes and ice cream and it ends up costing a pretty penny. I know if ai don't slow down it's going to end up doing bad things to my body. My parents are looking for rehabilitation centers and I'm having to go through the D.A.R.E.Y program all over again. Sometimes when we go out to a Ryan's steak house I find myself over at the soft serve machine before I even start the main course. I pushed a kid yesterday for breaking in line, I was clearly ahead of him and gave him the stinkeye on the way back to our table.

Somebody help me.

Xylitol.

Xylitol is almost equivalent to sugar in taste and sweetness and it has the added bonus of fighting tooth decay and helping your teeth and bones remineralize.

There's Xylitol in my sugar jar and for all purposes its good.

I only have sugar in my home as a yeast nutrient, such as when leavening dough.

Erythritol is kinda hard (like sand between your teeth) and barely sweet at all.

I bought a 25 kg (55lbs) bag of xylitol and tipped it into a foodgrade pail. Like sugar it wont go bad ever and because I bought in bulk it was only 6 bucks per kilo.

I was thinking of buyin some xylitol recently but most recipes replacing sugar that I see use erythritol. Apparently it's around 70% as sweet as sugar. I don't really care that it's not as sweet because things can easily become too sweet for me anyway. Apparently erythritol is better for tooth health than xylitol

I don't either. Every now and then I do get the urge but I feel like shit after eating sugar, it's been like that for years now.

Thing is though, if its not as sweet you'll subconsciously use more over time and thats more costly for your body and wallet.

Buy a stray pound or so to experiment, chances are you'll love it. Other than a cooling taste (which is nice) you can't tell it apart from sugar much, other than not getting sick.

Chronic overconsumption of sugar i as bad as chronic overconsumption of alcohol.

In case you wonder about my picks: based on properties and known toxicity I use Neotame (10,000x sugar) as my primary sweetener and Xylitol as a 1:1 sugar replacement.

One caveat with Xylitol: keep it the hell away from your dog if you have one, it can make them very sick very fast.

Statistically, I'm just into the top 30% of my class, and the top 25% of my university. So a little better than average, but that wasn't an option.
