I find the quote humorous - not necessarily serious, or true for all of humanity.

But seriously, we assume when narcissists and psychopaths obtain wealth and power, this makes them happy. But do these things really make then happy? A heroin junkie may claim smack makes them happy, but does it really bring happiness? I've never seen someone nodding off who appeared to be experiencing happiness. Same with narcissists and psychopaths.

Happiness is subjective.....but in the Stoicism(like)line of thinking, happiness is good for one and those that surround him/her.

Happy literaly means having good fortune.  Like, that's what the word "happy" actually means if you dig up the etymology thereof.

I don't know, I have had some pretty happy times that turned into nightmares.:shrug:

I also had a relative that was truly happy, only when miserable.
