Re: What do you want your legacy to be here? [Re: LogicaL Chaos] * 3

My legacy?  I want to be remembered as the innocent baby seal that galumphed upon the ice before it engulfed me in an Anna Kavan vision rendered manifest.  I want to be remembered as the gay jaguar that prowled the temple ov pleasure as fountains ov youth bubbled with the white elixir ov life.  I want to be remembered as the black vulture that flies in the shadow cast by my body's blockade ov soular rays.  I want to be remembered as the playful panda that rolled down the hill as a cyclonic yin-yang ball.  I want to be remembered as the peacock whose psychedelic eyes danced in the winds ov chaos as the quill stirred within blood and being.  I want to be remembered as the gold moon and the silver sun.  The hanged man with a rope leading to nowhere and my purple feet dipping into a pool ov mercury.  The phoenix hatched from the egg ov restriction into a life ov love with the insight to re-member the return.  But i can only hope i reckon.

Besides my abs, hopefully someone learned something or had a legit chuckle at whatever I’ve posted, I count those as equal wins..

Other than that, when all this shit wraps and we wake up back home remember I’ll be the one yelling “I told you so!”:awedance:

Do we even have legacies here?  Folks get put on the RIP list, some get “etched in the sands of time” in seriously_trippin’s signature, and that’s about it.  Probably the closest thing we have to an actual legacy is the automatic heart icon for posts in remembrance of acidic_sloth.

But I do remember my friends when they pass.  I’ll see some progressives getting sassy and think “oh man, zig would love to dry smash this convo”, or I’ll be going through some parenting shit and wish I could text shLong.  I guess it’s about personal connections you make, in whatever way.  I suppose I’d like to be remembered as a helpful sort.

Memories people.

Truly a legacy and the only one that "means" anything.

No the thread for it but if you're looking for purpose if you need meaning place it in your interactions with others so as to leave a positivity.

There are many more been and gone then there could ever be now.
What does a legacy mean anyhow.
Are you striving for real change and what would that look like.
Will your actions last once your inevitably out of sight.

Will the universe be more or less once your gone.
In time nobody will care.
No matter how brightly your light shone.
So why do we play fair.

We strive as though there is a finish line.
As if there will be winners.
That we can reach it in time.
Purposeful intent creating sinners.

Gluttony of self importance.
Hypocrisy of self impotence.
We allow ourselves delusions of grandeur.
Perspectives of nothingness seen as slander.

I am not important and neither are you.
This doesn't mean an easy shot through.
You see the choice is to strip away the lies and too look deep inside.
Then without validity, love like a mother when their newborn cries

Just a fool on the hill.

Somewhere, some time a caveman narrowly saved his family from a saber toothed tiger and nobody even talks about that anymore..

but isn't this post talking about him millennia later without knowing anything about him other than that legacy
:filosoraptor:
or is he truly imaginary because we don't have a detailed record to refer to

Even if they made a statue, and every year we danced around it to celebrate.....……………………… would the ants stop and pay homage?

Sorry, I missed this response last week when the thread was active.  I see what you’re saying Leningrad Cowboy, and I agree with it.  There are definitely some legendary things here that persist long after the person who posted them is gone.  Thumbprint thread is a great example.  Long time pubbers probably recall the “I’m so scared” thread.  I guess in that sense, my legacy here might be the “mushrooms make you gay” myth, lol.

Just love. Nothing more, nothing less.

That's it for me in all of life, not just here in this community.

--------------------
Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

In that case the "COCKS!" thread.:smirk: I might have been one of the first out gay guys here, maybe? I still have 26 ignores for that cock, lol. Coaster was the first one to ignore me in the open and said so, and all his lackeys followed him. (cock legacy, lol)

I wonder what percentage of consistent Shroomery members over the last decade have left on an epic meltdown...?

I can recall about 2-3 a year over the last 7.
