That's funny.  When I go to Europe I see nudity in their tv and commercials during the day and wonder why that's prohibited in the US.

The UK is worse about free speech than other EU countries like Germany, France, and the Netherlands.

Dont be simple minded. Free speech is a concept being battled across many fronts chiefly online in social media. Im american living in occupied communist territory. The left and minorities are actively are working to erode free speech with antidiscrimination laws and anti hate speech laws.

I agree, the left is eroding American freedom, but there is no hate speech continuum or grade.

Trying to entertain a continuum will erode free speech because someone has to define the continuum, which would probably be Uncle Sam.

In fact, free speech is black and white and should stay that way.

No libel and no calls to violence. Everything else is fair game.

That's much more simple than asking the government for parameters isn't it?

Well as we saw on the toe rogan podcast with jack dorsey & tim poo the government has a hands off approach for silicon valley tech giants and its ending in the monopoly of the left and rising tensions with the right.

A well would signal if there's been a breech of security.  That is a constant battle.  I don't think seeds getting in is a big deal.  There's already been so much invasive plants and kids should learn to enjoy growing stuff.

Parents of the upper class are more anti-drug cause they did all those and got fucked and knocked up.  So they blame the drugs for that.

That's fine.

Internet company censorship is acceptable.

They are private companies that we do not have to use.

The small man can own forums, write books, talk on the phone, or video chat, and so forth. Government Internet hate speech laws would fuck all these people over. The private enclaves of freedom.

As soon as you entertain hate speech laws or parameters, you are risking freedom. If internet hate speech laws bled out into American Life, it would be the end of free expression.

Lot's of drugs go north and south at that border.  It's not working just watching people smuggling drugs and being dangerous.

What are your thoughts on libel/slander, obscenity, and copyright?

Rich individuals and corporations, who can afford to keep a team of lawyers on retainer, undeniably use the threat of lawsuits to cast a chill on free speech against those whose speech might not qualify as libel/slander or violation of copyright but can't afford the expensive lawsuit required to find out. Think of the actions of the Church of Scientology or the Walt Disney Company.

How about obscenity laws? Should we let the government censor speech deemed too sexual? Why should hateful speech be a protected category, but not sexual speech?
