Has more information come out? That looks like the same article from a month ago.

I am still highly suspicious of the claim that longtime anti-racist activists (10+ years) would so casually use racist slurs, and that other anti-racist activists would just ignore this.

As someone who has spent time in these scenes, I just can't see this as being accepted behaviour. Like, I am way more surprised by the claim of using racist slurs than I am by the claim of unprovoked assault.

You're surprised Antifa is racist?  Laughable.  As far as being violent against innocent people, I guess you have accepted it.

Yes, I am surprised that militant anti-racist activists, seemingly active for over a decade, would casually use racial slurs; even more surprised by the notion that every other anti-racist activist around them was not bothered by such casual racism.

I base this opinion off of my personal experience within these types of circles. You don't get to be active within the anti-racist scene for 10+ years and use racial slurs. In my experience, this just doesn't happen.

I still see the statement by the marines as the only evidence put forward for this claim. Personally, I put a lot more creedence in my own experience than the words of some random dude; especially when the claim also fits the anti-antifa narrative so perfectly.

The article talks about a charge of ethnic intimidation, so I guess as the court case continues we will see what evidence for racial slurs is presented. Until then, I just see an unsubstantiated claim.

White liberals are the most racist people, just because they join some group and preach "anti-racism", that hardly changes the fact they're extremely racist in nature.

It's like some 600 lb person joining a fitness club, that doesn't change the fact they're extremely out of shape and have no interest in health.

As for your analogy, the 600 lb person who joins a fitness club is far more 'fitness minded' than the 600 lb who sits on their ass eating twinkies. They are at least taking steps to become more fit.

It doesn't look like it. The last few weeks i would casually check, and see nothing. So i chalked it up to being a real event. Even though it is admittedly suspicious

not saying its cool to call people offensive names but saying the use of certain forbidden words surprises you more than unprovoked assault really says something about that "scene".

The more the person is a self proclaimed "liberal", the more likely they will to bitter and angry with life in general. They also tend to be extremely selfish as well.

Exact same thing can be said about conservatives.

It is that it's fairly inherent in all people with such complicated stressful existences to be that way.  It is the easier option.  It happens with age a lot, it's become recreational.
