Why? They are militant anti-racists; willing to use aggressive and combative tactics against racists.

Is it really a shocker to find that I am more surprised to hear someone from this scene casually uses racial slurs (something they are explicitly against) over committed an assault (a tactic explicitly condoned)?

Yeah, I can't find anything new either; despite the report in the first run of articles that the defendants were due back in court end of December.

The fact no new reports have been published lead me to believe that the results of the trial weren't as savoury as the initial reports. Or maybe the trial has been postponed, but still why absolutely no new reports?

I think it's also telling that the only articles my amateur search of the internet pulled up that mentioned either defendants, that weren't also from that series of articles in mid-December, were two separate cases in the past where charges against them were thrown out (Tom Keenan / Love Park 4 and Thomas Massey / J20).

The pictures above were taken earlier that day. Those people Sriracha dude was hanging out with, and fighting antifascists with, are members of the openly fascist Rise Above Movement; over a dozen members have since been arrested for violent attacks all over the country.

Don't want antifascists to bop you in the head? Easy, just don't join a violent fascist gang for a fun day in the park.

I mean, completely unprovoked assault isn't condoned (although, most would consider simply being a fascist or rascist as provocation), but it's still easier to imagine people who beat up racists would beat up someone who isn't a racist than it is to imagine people who beat up rascists would use racial slurs.

i understand wat you are saying. i am saying its messed up. you dont need to explain any further, you arent making it an better, i get it. and yes if you hit someone simply because they disagree with you it is completely unprovoked.

im not saying its productive to provoke people for the sake of provocation. i see alot of that on both sides and i think its harmful. but its not violence.

and if i genuinely have an opinion that you find provocative, thats subjective. if its what i really believe then my intention is to speak the truth and not necessarily to provoke. if you hit me. thats objectively threatening so you are the one starting the violence.

in order to think on your own, you have to be allowed to hold positions which some people find provocative. who gets to decide whats provocative and what people arent allowed to believe? do you trust them to be right about everything 100% of the time? if someone gets beat up and acquires permanent damage or dies is it there fault and therefore justified?

do you really think silencing people is better than debating or discussing it and talking about why certain ideas are good or bad in an open forum for everyone to see?
