APE 350g wet 1 standard PF cake MS grow

OK so I spawned 1 normal size PF cake to coir,verm and coffee
First flush gave me 350g wet weight

Side note I did 3 trays 2 yielded about 6-10g dry each, but this one yielded much more 3x more

I need to ask if such a flush is normal?
I'm cloning them but I think the yeild is because of all the side pinning

350g off of one pf tek, a pint jar right? I'd say this one is a keeper.

What I hear is an 28g dry per qt is ok, but most of the pros can get twice that per myco qt of spawn.

Yup a pint but remember its PF and that's wet weight
So in dry its 35g dry from 1 pint of PF cake as spawn + its MS

Average for most 1/2 pint brf>coir tubs seems to be around 75g wet per cake per flush.
So 350 for a pint cake is out of the ordinary for sure :thumbup:

On the other hand it will probably dry down to around 25-28g dry. But the again I'm not the best at guessing dry weight, there are those that can nail it pretty good haha

Normal for cubes seems to be around 93% water weight. So about 7g dry per 100g wet.
I have very rarely grown mushrooms at about 90% water weight. Most often for me is 93% regardless of variety so far.

I think colder temps can produce denser fruits (or drier, I honestly don't know what description to use) lol that which we call 'denser` is in fact just a fruit with less water :shrug:

A substrate that small is more like a big cake and all kinds of pins are welcome on a cake if you know what I'm saying :rockon:

Nice maybe I should fill a mono tub with these guys and see what happens:shrug:
I can do two by using the same amount of spawn and substrate see what yields more.
But I'm feeling like a newb saying that although I've been a newb for some years now:lol::laugh2:
And at this rate I'll probably still be one for next few:laugh2:

Great job!  I'm starting some APE on agar this week, I'd love to get a yield like that on a cake spawned to bulk.

Like those MS Hawaiians I've grown earlier this year with 88% water content. Small fat fruits with non-hollow stems. Instead of these PE6 quart bottles from last January with 255g wet yield but 94.6% water content.  :megusta:

Pf cakes are usually half pints. And 15-20g per cake is pretty possible. So ~ double that for a pint cake

Ye will that really only did one big flush as the second flush was a joke
Not even worth weighing it(probably not even worth drying)
Lol any way now I don't need to worry about MS I took a few clones from multiple APE grows (I'll have to check but 4 I think)

From those clones I'll see what does the best then try and isolate from there
