yes i've done it quite successfully. heres a link to the whole project http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Pictures&Number=559981&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=all&vc=1

basically just pasturize the straw, put down a couple inch layer in the bottom of a tub, take a few cakes and crumble them and spread over straw. add another couple inches of straw, add another few crumbled cakes. do this till your straw depth is 4-6 inches deep (compressed). throw some of that plastic florecent light cover stuff over it with holes drilled in every couple inches (try to get a piece that fits from wall to wall of the tub) and put a few bricks on top to keep it compressed. keep the tub in the dark and in incubating conditions for a few days until the mycel has grown through the top layer of straw then case it with something. let the newly cased tub incubate for another day or two and then expose to light and drop the temp. pinning should begin within a week. good luck
