that looks like it take to much effort, besides, shrooms don't taste bad. Why not dip them in caramel or honey?

I could be wrong, but I thought heat breaks down some of the psycoactive ingredients. Is there a better way to make an extract out of USED pf cakes?

The way it works (I think, may be wrong) is that if you just heat shrooms then the good stuff just dissolves into the surrounding air, but if you boil it than it dissolves into the water. In fact most tea rescipes I've seen suggest straining and chucking out the solids before drinking because there's nothing you want left in them.

I (last night even) usually will take a frozen concentrate stick of lemondae(more of a cylinder) and put in 2-3 times the amount with hot water.(melts quicker) Then I soak a broken up spent cake in the "lemonade" and soak it shaking a bit every 5-10minutes for a hour. Use at least 3 cakes for decent effects.(felt a little from 4 cakes last night) Be sure to strain out all the pieces of the cakes, a clean towel works best, then going through a coffee filter a time or two to make sure. Then chug as fast as possible.(not the best tasting warm lemonade)
The idea is that the water along with the acidity of the lemonade will extract alkaloids.--MAKE SURE THE CAKES GOOD, if u find mold or the cake doesn't smell very good then toss it-the ..trip juice.. also soaks up the bacter-molds toxins which would make u sick, not to mention the bacteria itself.

Acid in Lemon=good solvent?! Anyways, heat does break psilocybin down into psilocin. Psilocin gets you high, not psilocybin. When you make mushroom tea, you're drinking psilocin, which hits you faster because:1. it's a liquid, which is easier to diffuse through your body and 2.your body does not need to break down psilocybin-it's already in the active form. You probably get less psilocin from heating the mushroom up, but if they're fresh or potent, it's not a significant loss. Hope that clarifies the confusion around here.
