That truly is art. Food from the Gods. Nice work.
I wish mine looked like that. Any special conditions needed to achieve results like this?

Just a quick question:
Wouldn't it a whole lot better if he cased this?
Casing's just better overall if you want a high yield, no?

Probably not, this is a very nice flush from a cake, even a casing.

Then which is truly better?
Casing or Cakes?
I know the advantages and disadvantages of both, don't send me back to the FAQ's, I'm just wondering what experienced growers think.

It?s nice to have both options.
For bigger projects and if you got some experience, deffinitely casings.
For small projects and experiments with different strains, also for newbies, I find cakes better.

I'm guessing this was an experiment. Although, if this was a first grow I would be encouraged.

Man that helped me out a lot Anno.
This is why I love the Shroomery. You can't talk to drug dealers about this kind of stuff. And hookers don't like to listen to you anyway. I feel so alone.
You'll have to excuse me there.

True dat.
I do, however, love the feel of cold, hard, steel poking into the soft (skanky) skin of another human.
Or am I just talking out of my ass again.

interestingly enough, it was the dude's first time growing. but, then again, i taught him how. here's another. Moisture, air exchange, and heat. use a cooler like this: a fish tank pump sealed in a plastic container with a hepa mask over the top. heater run the air tube through a hole in the cooler into the top of the jar that you see. The jar has a fish tank heater in it. tried bubbling but got too much humidity, so now just blow the air across the top of the warm water. The lid is plexi sitting on weather stripping. get condensation on the lid 'cause the room is cool. dump the lid every other day, it does not drip on the shrooms. pulled the cooler drain plug off at the other end at the bottom and can feel the air flowing out. It works well, except sometimes there is too much humidity so split the air and only run half of it over the water. the strain is b+, cakes were dunked and end-cased with damp vermiculite.. the entire thread can be found here, at mycotopia.
