If I get scalloping the only thing that gets rid of it has been a cabin.

Hey, would you look at that? I didn’t even notice. Thanks, Kloakk.

I had another plate from the same donor I put on grain, as it looked good enough to send. So I’ll see how that goes, I guess. In the meantime I guess now is as good a time as any to try my first cabin. I don’t have any glass slide covers, but I can use an agar square, right?

I believe Nichrome has sent scalloping plates with success, personally I don't, but it doesn't have to be bad I guess. And yes agar roof is fine :rockon:

I’m more just having fun messing around, so I probably won’t send this. I’ll see how it looks tomorrow and try my first cabin sequester. Well, assuming I don’t slice my fucking finger while changing the blade on my scalpel.

The previous plate wasn't this good, I think it's already clean but might as well do the trench to be sure. I really want to get it right on the first try.

Three toque f11 T3s from spore well a t2 and two t3s lol.
Then some ape, some white rabbit I’m 99% sure is contam which sucks cuz that was one of the ones I was looking forward too most but I still have some of the original vial to try again tho and then some ovoid mycelium looking great

As long as the backlight view looks okay, I have definitely sent scalloped plates and not had problems. I'm not saying that scalloping doesn't indicate that there could be contamination but in my somewhat limited experience it hasn't been an issue for me.

Yeah, Nichrome said the same thing, I just have trust issues, but I'm working on it. Just today I learned that this Neoxalapensis plate is good to go :strokebeard:
