I found these cacti in a clearance "bin" for $.50 each!
I couldn't leave them to waste away on a shelf in the back of the store,so I bought all of them!

Not sure what the bigger one in the yellow container is.(no tag)But they had a few other variants of it that I may go back and pick up.(wife loves it)

I might be wrong, could just be I can't make it out on my phone, but the one in the yellow looks like it could be a sempervivum.

:awesomenod:
I wish my environment would allow me to leave them outside to thrive, but I'm in the process of making some sort of raised box that I can move into the garage in the cold season.
These should be fine as is for the winter?,or do I need to get these in a bit more soil til I replant in spring?

Edit:
Also, anyone know a good way to get that stupid glue and flower off these without damage?
Edit 2:
NVM,Just pulled it off.

Do you guys have Strombocacti? I'm interested to see em, especially if people have grafted some.

Since I got only 1 germination out of a batch of year old seeds i am gonna be trying again with ~20 seeds.

All the blooms have just about opened up. They are some interestingly cool flowers. Here's an update.

Nice find, I've got the same brand of cacti around here but they're usually something like $10+ (canadian) each. I've got the same ferocactus and the echinopsis 'dominos'. Yellow pot is definitely sempervivum, really healthy looking too

Went back to see if I could score some more of the sempervivum, but it was all gone.
But,they did have a few more cacti on sale.
These,were $1.00 a piece!

I've had to peel the glue and fake flowers off them, but I'm happy.:awesomenod:

Well done, I've got a ming thing as well. Yeah sometimes an areole or two comes off with the glue but they recover pretty quick. I haven't actually seen the fake flowers around much lately, maybe the nursery requested ones without them or something

Hey quick question.
I currently have these (and my Trichos)indoors on a shelf with indirect sunlight.
Temps are upper 60s F.
Should I move these to a cooler, less light environment?
I have a garage that I overwinter my aloe, and other succulents and plants in,but sometimes it can get pretty cold(40 F) in there even with the radiator heater going.
My aloe and other plants have survived well tho, just wonder if that would be more beneficial for them.

The current place should be fine, just keep them completely dry for the winter or they might etiolate
