Mammillaria lying down on the job.

Think its time for a re-pot, moved them for the first time in awhile today and they are right on the tipping point.

The one on the left has really taken off this year it has grown that new pup on top since summer and is starting to flower again in the 5 week of winter.

Maybe not enough light. My Mammillaria are outside and still constantly lean towards the sun. I straiten them out and they go back to leaning again. Other cactus I have in the same location get burnt (had to add a sun shade cloth). I need to make a separate cactus stand for them that gets full sun all day.

I thought it was normal for some Mammillaria to lay down when they get big I have seen it happen in other peoples collection too.

Maybe a weight thing?
I don't think its to do with the light. There are many cacti on the shelf and no other ones are leaning at all.
They are only facing the same way because i was moving them for re-potting.

Thought about standing them up but decided to just give them some space instead.

The fat Myrtillocactus geometrizans in the back ground is the most stubborn cutting I have had. 3 years to produce roots and that growth has just started this year.

I believe this would be the correct thread to contribute a couple of pictures to. This my neighbors Cereus, and while I was checking on my fig trees I noticed his cacti were about to bloom so I figured I'd take a few pictures. One of them appears to have a fruit on it. I thought it was pretty cool so I figured I'd share.
A couple of these cacti were at least 15 feet tall before the last hurricane came through. I acquired 2 top cuttings from his garbage can and now they are  growing in my yard as well.

I'm pretty sure my Trichos will do well once in the super sandy soil around here!
Thanks for looking!

Those fruits are supposedly VERY good. They're called something like cactus or cereus apple.

I've eaten several cereus fruits(tunas) fresh off the cactus. They are very good. I have a few I've tortured from seed as well. Very hardy and blue. Just put them in the ground.

The apple cactus fruits are really good. To me, better then the fruits from Opuntia. After giving my Cereus' a bunch of fertilizer they're finally flowering enough to give me some fruits this year. :fuckyeahdance:
