Cacti pic and need help

Well here is my collection so far



The only problem with this cacti seems to be at the base, You will be able to see it more clearly if you click on the pic it has gone a bit brown with an uneven texture.  Is this cacti still healty ?





Also these cacti seem to be turning a lighter shade of green at the top with it being darker at the bottom is this still normal or is there anything i can do about it.  I was thinking it could be nutrient related but i am not sure.

I just wish these dam thing could grow way faster but i guess i am gona have to wait 5 years or something to harvest my reward. :wink:

Is the brown spots hard and not mushy? If hard then it's just calloused, add a little bit more soil to cover it up. If mushy, then you gots yourself a problem.

They're not as green as the top because that's where they're actively growing, as it gets older and the grows more where it was lighter green will be darker green but it will always be a little lighter at the top where it's actively growing. But still don't forget to fertilizer it every so often. There are a bunch of fertilizer threads if you do a search.

Ok thanks, for now i have just put them all in the greenhouse so hopefully thay should be fine for now.
