There are a lot of kinds it could be from that vauge description. How long are the spines? What is the colour of the areoles (the fur around the spines)? Etc. etc. be more descriptive...
Could even be Trichocereus Peruvianus...they can have quite orange spines sometimes.

how many ribs on the cactus? are there indentations (v shaped ) above the spines? do they have waxy lighter colored chevrons pointing downward where the ribs meet?

Okay, more detail, it has six spines and doesn't have the indentations like other cacti that I've seen around here. The spines are only about a 1cm long but the cactus isn't bigger than 7cm tall. The fur that the spines come out of is white and the spines are an orangey yellow.

Thanks people
