compare. do a search, there are lots of cacti id threads...LOTS.

the main thing would be telling it against cereus i would assume. pretty easy, cereus is a skinny rib trich's are a fatter rib.

you can also tell by the spine, length, shape, colour etc... but i dun know much about that stuff.

take a look on the real ones and the most common look alikes (cereus, pilosocereus, myrtillocactus, lophocereus, stetsonia)...
