Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

It sounds like it's starting to rot. How do you keep it? How often do you water, what kind of soil is it in, etc. Cut of the affected arean and keep it dry until it calluses over.

I think cutting off the affected area would probably be the best solution. Do it before it has a chance to spread to other parts of the cactus. Good luck!

I'd also dig out the affected area and dig just a bit further to make sure you get it all and let it dry in the sun, or if you're a bit more experienced put some salt on the wound, then brush it off once it's completely dried.

Depending on how tall the cactus is, just cut off the entire top of the infected area. What's left of the cactus, if it's enough, it will start to pup.
