Hi,
I am wondering if anyone knows of a good Cacti/Peyote site or message-board/NG on the web, something similar to this site would be great.
Below are some URL's to good Peyote/Cacti sites I have found already:
www.peyote.com www.peyote.com/peyolink.html www.peyoteway.org www.peyote.net (view the archives) www.erowid.org/plants/peyote/peyote.shtml (Peyote) www.erowid.org/plants/peyote/peyote_cactus_guide.shtml (Guide to growing/using physicadelic Cacti) www.erowid.org/plants/cacti/cacti.shtml (San Pedro & Peruvian Torch)
BTW, there are links to great sources for cacti seed/cuttings in the above info :-) ...
Any other URL's would be great, Thanks alot, Lighten

I live in China, which is a hard place to find any type of drug. I was recently at a flower bazaar with my girlfriend when I came across a few shops selling all types of small cactuses. When I asked (in Chinese) are these Peyote, the seller said "Yes, from Japan". I bought a couple at 5 usd per button. Buttons are about the size of a quarter. Doing my due diligence, it seems like 'maybe' they are "Lophophora williamsii", but I really have no way to verify. I was thinking of waiting till they flower, and if the flowers are pink, then I might be on to something. I'd prefer not to get sick and or die.
Please if you have experience identifying these plant, let me know if these are Peyote or something else.
Thanks All!

Welcome, Eli
Based on the colour and rib shape, and the colour of the remaining flower, I'd have guessed at L. koehresii
and a side note: There is no need to post up the same ID request to 4 different threads. Please feel free to start your own threads if you are not sure of the best place to post a question. Or there is the Lophophora Growers Unite! thread for anything loph related
