Habitat:
A park in North Eastern Kansas. The first few were growing in rotting leaves, but the majority out of rotting logs. Maclura pomifera and oaks grow in the area, but I can't identify the logs or leaves.

Gills:
Very light brown, like off white gills, attached, I think. It's my first hunt. No hood.

Stem: 1-1 1/2 inches, thin diameter like a thick pencil lead in most, color some were whitish some redish purplish, not sure if that is bruising, the like fresh young vines, most were hollow a few of the larger ones were more solid, thin, fuzzy white near where it grew out of the leaves/logs.

Here is where it's toughest. I'm not sure if I have two different kinds. Gymnopilus pulchrifolius and Panaeolus cinctulus were what I was looking for.
Cap:
, color: as you will see below some brown going to tan some a dark purplish brown, texture: smooth like a portobello cap, conical for the purplish ones/ flat with a bump over the stem on the others, convex. Some of the flat ones split in spots.

Spore print color: unfortunately I wasn't able to get a spore print until after they were refrigerated for a few hours. I put a couple drops of water under the cap after reading that's helpful. What I was able to get was a very pale yellow, like off white, but I'm not sure if that wasn't just the gills coming off onto the paper from the water.

Bruising:
I'm not certain about this.

Other information:
The stems of both kinds were fuzzy white near where they grew out of. They just smelled like button/portobello mushrooms. I didn't taste them, in case of toxicity.

the top ones look very much like Mycena haematopus did they 'bleed' red/purple juice when you picked them or damaged them?

The last photo, I think, is something different.

Disclaimer - I'm just a hobbyist and cannot absolutely guarantee any ID offered. I'm most familiar with the species found in the Pacific Northwest - those found in other parts of the world may vary considerably, so always do your own research to find out what grows in your area and what lookalikes you need to be aware of. Understand that many mushroom species cannot be 100% reliably identified by photographs alone, even by an expert, so it may not be possible to go beyond suggesting a probable genus.

Damn, looking them up Mycena haematopus are exactly what are at least half of what I picked. Hopefully the other kind are active.
