stropharia or psilocybe?? * 1

Habitat:
Where does it grow?  On the North side of a black Berry Bush clearing bordering a field.

Gills:attached to stem adnexed almost adnate

Stem: Partial veil remnant on some I can only say normal stem length for cyanescens ( Slightly longer then the cap is wide)some are fibrilose at the bottom.  Kind of meaty and fibrous with a hollow center like a pencil with the lead taken out. Slightly thicker at the bottom. There was no bruising at 1st but after a while they are bluing

Cap: Broadly convex to plane. Very slight wave on the bigger older ones. The color threw me off they are mostly cream color some almost white but had blue bruising where twigs touched them (they do have a separable gelatinous pelical)

Spore print color: This is why I cannot positively ID them myself the spore print was very dark Brown nowhere near black Or purple from what I could tell on the other  caps Growing nearby I'm doing a spore print as we speak

Bruising: There was bruising on the caps From growing in to debris. When I crushed the stems there was nothing. I cut all the stems to do spore prints and the bruising is very mild if any. One very small one seems to have bruised a lot more than the others


Other information:  I am pretty familiar with psychoactive mushrooms from reading a lot and looking at these forums I've grown cubes, and I have found cyanescens before and these are definitely not them. maybe ovoid or baeyo. I created this account specifically for this ID request... I have a ton of pictures but don't know how to post them... This is the most unnecessarily difficult website I have ever been to they are in my profile under my picks not sure how to move them over

The mushrooms in your gallery are  Stropharia species.

damn it,  I know they didn't look quite right but I didn't know others could have blue bruising like that other than some bolets.... Thanks for the quick responses

Stropharia have blue coloration already,  I don't think they "bruise blue ".

Those ones appear to be bruising rather than a blue stroph to me, looks like a stem layed on one of those caps and bruised a line into was about to say this before your post.

Yeah I see that in the 2nd pic.
What were they growing in? They do look like they are bruising.

I cut one down the center with in exact O knife and its bruised blue... Where ever it grew into a twig or stick it had blue lines on it they are not solid blue or evenly tinted blue... I'm still having trouble with the pictures it seems I have to copy and paste the title of every picture I guess... I'll give it a try but I'm on a phone.

I live in western Washington. They were growing in a BlackBerry bramble that had been cut down right on the edge of a field.

I think you might be right. It fits the description, which also says it could contain psilocybin but I'm not willing to test it.

Ima throw in my $.02 here. I dont think they're "bruising" blue as much as they're just darkening. Those look like a dead ringer for stropharia caerulea in my opinion. Now my opinion may mean fuck all, but that's not an active species.

It only seemed to be that small one that I cut that looked bruised I damaged all of them and there was no new bruising I just tried cutting the small one where it wasn't Blue and nothing happened. I am pretty sure they are not what I'm looking for... I was pretty sure when I found them they weren't, but the bluing had me intrigued they haven't bruised Where I damaged them... And I might have tricked myself into thinking that happened after I cut it cause I wasn't paying too much attention. to busy trying to figure out this website.

It's one of the Blue Stropharia sp.

Definitley not active, regardless what wikipedia says.

I can see now that a tell sign that they are not a psilocybe is that shaggy stem that resembles Fly Agaric.
