In a fair technicality a coconut is actually a dry drupe, but in a loose definition it can be multiple things, a fruit, a nut and and a seed. Yes I used google because I didn't think calling it only a nut would be correct. Atleast im not like some people here who also are always so superior and super kewl and shit and never admit to using google. sdook. :taco::cheers:

OP be careful because alcohol is a brutal drug and it will make you drown. It can suck your life away. I know an alcoholic in my life and he is just annoying to deal with. When he is really intoxicated he reverts to the mentality of a 4 year old. He has a big ego too. He's also my dad. You are depressed because of alcohol withdrawl. You should try to self medicate with psychedelics or cannabis or kratom. There are studies in peer reviewed medical journals about using psychs like Ibogaine or shrooms or cannabis to cure alcoholism. You should consider this path.

Yes, a last resort, before alcohol-poisoning yourself to death is cannabis.
One maybe won't get away from alcohol, but cannabis makes its effects more intense, so the doses are lowered. Similarily with 'downdrinking' from too much cannabis, but alcoholics won't have this 'problem'...

I used to be an all day every day stoner. It makes the effects even worse from alcohol wd.

I would much prefer being a stoner over this. It gives me anxiety though.

What I really enjoy is kratom. It helps so much. Take it when you wake up feeling like garbage and than your feeling a little less garbage.

Anxiety/paranoia only tells it was good stuff

Do it if you have the chance to. There arise different problems, but it's much less hazardous to the mind and body. For the body it even is more healthy and for the mind it depends, but better than drinking it away

There's a pot store within a quarter block from my house. I just don't care for the stuff anymore. It gives me anxiety. Gf's a huge stoner. All day every day. Smoked a small bowl with her a couple times. Laying on my chest and my heart is just racing. Do you have anxiety love. Ya more or less.

I'm always just waiting for the effects of it to go away.

sort yourself and the reasons you drink out, it isn't nice or fun to face your demons but the drinking only gets worse until that monkey on your back finally gets thrown off.

OP, the title of this thread is "I got a problem"...that is a huge part  of recovery right there, acknowledging it. Many people go to their death beds without ever saying those words. I can tell you a lot of things that you wouldn't want to hear, so, I'll spare you the analogy.

Two things I can tell you for sure will happen if you keep doing what you're doing ....

1) The alcohol will never fill the hole that you've created.

2) It will get worse if you continue.

If you ever want to talk...please :pm: me....I hate to see anyone going through this.

That's what i've been doing for a solid 6 years.

All day every day. Drinking through work and life. I'm slowly but surely losing my mind. I can't remember anything off the top of my head.

Every time I end up in wd's. Taper down as i've never been to a detox. As soon as I start to feel better I celebrate by drinking again. I've done it 1000's of times. It's actually getting harder every time as my body is getting older and i'm sure my liver is shot.

Been to the hospital twice from it. They tell me i'm more or less fine. Just stop drinking. Easier said than done.

I like to story tell on here so I can hopefully have one person to not make the same mistake I did.

Im not trying to trade one habbit for another though.  Im not physically addicted...yet... im mentally addicted to the habit of having a couple drinks at night. If i dont drink i dont have withdrawals...yet....

If i didnt worry about getting drug tested at work i might consider smoking pot more than i drink but to be completely honest i notice a lot more laziness and cognitive slow down the day after smoking weed than i do the day after a few drinks. This was never the case when i smoked daily but my tolerance doesnt even exist anymore and i cant be sharp after smoking weed until halfway through the day after.  Id rather just figure out a healthy way to relax that isnt a substance.

This is how it is for me when i try it lately after i quit a year ago after over a decade of 24/7 use

I get so fuckin high i just feel the molecules in my brain changing or some shit and i start to think what if everyone just enjoys this because they have no understanding of whats happening and the way its actually changing the brain. But. Sometimes like the other night, ill think like that and then freak out and in the midst of freaking out i reason with myself that the pots been smoked and im in this for long haul now i better just quiet my mind and let it be. And then i actually end up enjoying it. I have used it the last few times i have gotten my usual bad migraines and the shit just makes them disappear. I can sleep really well too atleast the last few times.  The first few times i tried it after i had quit for a long time i couldnt sleep at all and was stuck over thinking until sunrise.

Shit is weird. All the same batch of the same strain gave me all these different experiences.  I love weed. And id love to build a tolerance again and enjoy it again daily but i think deep down, i just really dont want to be dependent on a drug no matter what it is. Ive made so much progress being more mindful and being a better person everyday and im just afraid using pot to relax would turn into using pot every god damn time shit went any way but perfect and then id stop dealing with life in healthy ways.  And i know drinking to relax every night isnt healhy but im still doing a lot better than i was a year ago dealing with the shit life throws at me in my experience its easier for me to ignore shit i shouldnt like emotions and responsibilities with weed than alcohol.  I dont usually feel right drinking during the day but i used to smoke as soon as i woke up and anytime in between that and going to sleep. Its benign nature actually allowed it to slip into my life in all the wrong ways. I just dont want to go back to that.

Well cannabis is not physically addictive. I think drug tests are a violation of personal privacy. I think it's creepy that they drug test people. I would just quite a job like that or order some powdered urine online.

I don't think theirs anything wrong with consuming psychedelics. Weed is a psychedelic. It can induce profound ego death at high edible doses. It does not damage your brain, CBD actually nourishes your brain and can induce hippocampal neurogenesis, treat Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and shrink cancerous tumors. There are so many studies. A lot of the negative cannabis research is bias because it was funded by the federal government who had a vested interest in keeping weed illegal. And sometimes it gets sprayed with pesticides/fertilizers. But you can't blame the plant for that. It's the growers fault. I have the opposite effect from weed, it is like a cognitive enhancer for me. Perhaps try to find strains with higher CBD concentrations or make edibles. What's wrong with laziness anyway? It's not like some job is the center of one's life. I hope the best for you man.

In fact, our brain is made of drugs, we call them neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, endorphins.  The reality is alcohol is not really benign unfortunately. there is nothing wrong with having a few drinks daily. That is not going to hurt you. Consider trying kratom. They don't drug test for that.

I was calling weed benign not alcohol. And I choose not to use weed because it doesn’t work for ME. what’s wrong with laziness? Um. Being fuckin broke and homeless and not able to pay bills or for my healthcare. That’s whats wrong with it.

I’m about to smoke some legal cbd only weed actually but it tastes like shit and honestly I’d rather drink than smoke this shitty tasting weed that only satisfies me nostalgicly and makes me a bit tired.

A job is the center of ones life unfortunately dude.  Ive tried to avoid this fact every way imaginable over the years and unless your lucky or well off it’s unavoidable.  Money. Is. EVERYTHING.  PERIOD.

Our brain being drugs doesn’t mean it’s just “cool man” to do drugs. That’s fuckin stupid hippy logic. Sorry to be so harsh but I haven’t spent a year monitoring my own dopamine seeking behavior so closely to just justify jumping back into using a drug that increases dopamine whenever you want it to because the brain naturally produces dopamine.  That doesmt make it okay.

The fact that you would just quit a job just because it drug tests makes me question your actual experience in real life. And the number of jobs you’ve successfully even held down. I agree with drug testing to an extent myself. I have to do shit on my job that one shouldn’t fuckin do with any drug in their system and I understand heavy pot users who are used to it shouldn’t have to deal with fearing job loss cause of a test but when you are a business owner you don’t have fuckin time or any legal means of determining how with it some one with thc in their system is. Period. It’s safer to just test and disregard anyone with anything in their piss for the sake of your business and your own family. Fuck an employee who’s trying to figure out some dumb personal problem regarding figuring out how to relax after work. Nobody who owns a reputable business has time for all that shit. It sucks but that’s the real world.

And Kratom is retarded. Been there done that.  Like I said. I’m not trying to sign up for another habit. And Kratom has many downfalls the users of which never enjoy admitting to. Just like pot. But Kratom more so than weed is addictive and it has an even greater potential to be used to block out emotions and having to deal with issues. It can make a person irritable and all kinds of restless when they run out among a bunch of other shitty side effects.  Been there done that. Used 6-8 grams a dose sometimes 3 times a day at one point.  It’s dumb man. And thats for me. If it works for you cool. I’m just not into it.

My only point of contention is with your last bit. Work isn't prison and acting like holding down a job is a bad thing is silly. Working to support your significant other or children and to build a better life is a noble cause.

Finally, you're funding the military whether you work or not.
You buy things from stores correct?
