Wrong!  Not fake news at all. I've seen numerous cases of post genital herpetic neuralgia in my 41 years as a practicing physician.  What you don't know CAN hurt you. I quote the quintessential line in the article: "The pain can be intermittent, and in some people it can be chronic, lasting for weeks and months at a time."  Bold in original.
