is milk really that bad?

I heard milk is actually really bad for you and that insteady of helping your bones, it actually hurts them. Not to mention all the other things on how it is fatty and such. Does this mean that pop is good for me? If i was brought up with the logic that milk=good and pop=bad i guess that pop=good now that milk=bad. haha but to be serious now how messed up is it that they had so many campaigns for years and years saying milk does a body good, but it actually doesnt? Also do you think they knew milk wasnt that good for you when they came out with this propaganda or did they just have shitty scientists?

milk is good for your bones but bad for you in other ways. They knew what they were doing with the milk campaign: lying by omission. Technically they didnt say anything that wasnt at least partly true

They used to say eggs were good for you, then they said they were bad for you, then they said that the white stuff is good for you but the yolk is bad for you. Point: Who gives a fuck what they say?

depends.

some milk is full of nasty hormones that they pump the cows full of.
some milk is organic.

I chose not to drink milk for various reasons.
I find it unnecessary and not all that appetizing.

im not exactly sure how "bad" milk is for you, but i drink alot of it and for thew most part, aside from my lack of excersize and addiction to cigarettes, im still a pretty healthy guy. we go through at least a gallon of milk a day at my house, and its only 2 people living there.

they also have a hard time deciding wheather eggs are good or bad for you...

Humans really only need milk when they are infants, and even then, it should be human milk.

Organic cow milk is not really harmful. Make sure you know your brands.

As technology progresses and more studies are carried out, we'll soon find out that oxygen, vitamins, and chemically filled tar caked cigarettes aren't all they're cracked up to be :crazy2: .. I do know that milk is one of if not the most complex food on earth and I drink tons of it!

Well my friend was arguing that it gives you calcium but depletes something else in your bones, causing them to be weakened. I cant remember what he was refering to but i guess i will just stick with water from now on. i can handle milk anyways it always messes up my stomach. Although i love ice cream, i dont think this world has enough ice cream at times. i think ice cream could possibly solve all of the worlds problems.

From what I have heard:

Calcium in milk hardens your bones.  If you drink too much milk, the calcium will eventually make your bones very hard, but also very brittle.  If you need a mental picture, look at obsidian.  It's a rather hard volcanic rock but very brittle (not to mention sharp as shit).

Also, my girlfriend is starting a strict diet regiment of milk.  That is all she's allowed to drink until her boobs are a decent sized C. :thumbup:

Also to any of you who have teenage girls that are 14-15, make them drink 5 glasses of milk a day, when they hit college age send them to PSU or University of Pittsburgh, PA. :thumbup:  :lol:

i drink a good 1-2 liters of milk a day...never broken a single real bone (fingers dotn count) and i live a pretty active life. the only bad thing i have noticed is that i have gotten calcium deposites on my knuckles.

so what exactly is it thoguht to be thats "bad" for us? surely it cant be worse than frozen juice, pop, and whatever else our fridges are full of.
