Milk
    #1820732 - 08/16/03 07:59 PM (14 years, 2 months ago)

Depression

Imagine starting your day with an estrogen pill,
followed by progesterone, prolactin, melatonin, oxytocin,
and 50+ other hormones including gastrointestinal peptides
and hypothalamic hormones. It is no wonder that the Townsend
Medical Letter noted the following in May of 1995:

"In reality, cow's milk, especially processed cow's milk,
has been linked to a variety of health problems, including:
mucous production, hemoglobin loss, childhood diabetes,
heart disease, atherosclerosis, arthritis, kidney stones,
mood swings, DEPRESSION, irritability, allergies."

ZITS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Acne occurs when steroids (androgens) stimulate the sebaceous glands within the skin's hair follicles. These glands then secrete an oily substance called sebum. When sebum, bacteria and dead skin cells build up on your skin, the pores become blocked, creating a zit.

What do you expect? When teenagers combine their own surging hormones with dietary saturated animal fat, cholesterol, steroid hormones, dead white blood cells, and cow pus, they're gonna get zits. The good news: The cure is an easy one: NOTMILK!

LACTOSE INTOLERANCE

Fifty million Americans experience intestinal discomfort
after consuming milk, cheese, or ice cream (Postgraduate
Medicine, 1994;95). Symptoms include stomach pain, gas,
and diarrhea.

Lactose, a milk sugar, is made up of two other sugars,
glucose and galactose. Galactose has been identified
as a causative factor in heart disease, cataracts, and
glaucoma. Most adults "lack" the enzyme, lactase, to
break down lactose. Instead, lactose is broken down
by bacteria in the lower intestines. Their own body
wastes combine with those sugars to ferment into
toxins causing bloating and cramps.

Once a correct diagnosis is established, there is a
simple cure: NOTMILK!

In April of 1999, the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology
(volume 28:3) reported:

"Introduction of a lactose-free dietary regime relieves
symptoms in most patients...who remain largely unaware
of the relationship between food intake and symptoms."

Dont group "milk" into one large group. Milk can be very good in some cases. Such as the milk from a momther to child which is very important in the development of the child.

And i to am against cow milk specially beacuse of what they put in it. But hell the hormones in milk made me very tall and perfect for an offensive lineman on the high school football team so currently i am not complaining. It is probably the hormones found monstly in american meat and foods which makes americans usually bigger than other nationalities.

soy, rice, or coconut milk is the way to go. Chemical cow milk is disgusting and I'd never drink it.

this is old news. i haven't had any cows milk to drink in years.

it's not as bad though as PETA would like you to believe, but it's certainly not good for you.

alot of people still think that milk "does a body good", and don't believe it when you warn them about antibiotics, hormones, and cruelty. others just don't care.

oh well. more soy milk for the rest of us.

politics, activism, or law?

the protein in milk (casein) is irritating to your system. the fat in milk (milkfat) is a rather unhealthy fat. the sugar in milk (lactose) cannot even be digested by most ethnic groups. it's got hormones and antibiotics in it. because it lacks magnesium, a necessary compliment to calcium, milk is not even a good source of calcium. it comes from nasty cow factories which i imagine are just god awful unnatural inside.

i'd never drink that shit.

you can thank government subsidies (our own money) for keeping much of the dairy (and meat) industry from going under.

Somebody moved my AIDS post once a long time ago this year.

I've made my own Soymilk from soy beans before. It costs about $0.25 a gallon, but wasn't as good as the storebought soymilk. It had a green vegetable taste to it.

If I could learn how to make it as good as the name brand shit, I'd probably drink it instead, but it costs more than real milk, and I still like real milk better.

Gotta be Rono (he's not so bright)

but yeah, the article posted at the top of this thread is dripping bias.

Just dripping it.

>soy, rice, or coconut milk is the way to go

Yeah keep believen that.

Soy products are horrible for you, coconuts are loaded with saturated fats, and I don't know anything abou rice milk, but I'dbe surprised if it caused much of a problem.
