i've found similiar results in early generations, it seems to be that as the cambodians get grown out after generation after generation after generation, they get much much better, it may have to do with the generation of spores you have. could be fairly old generation and thus shitty production. who knows though.. i can't tell you exactly why you are having bad luck. . .

Thats sparkeys next adventure.........i heard you can have a lot of problems using finch seed (or any seed for that matter) seem's like your more prone to contam's (for newbies anyway).............he's gonna use basic mmgg and pf tek combined (like he did with the t.c.'s he did) not sure if it will work with this strain .....but at least he'll keep the contams in check.......i think theirs to many variables from one seed co. to the next............who knows what they spray on the li'l @*&^%$# to keep the bugs etc.....from eating um on the shelf!.............if im wrong......it will only be the 5th time today (since lunch)------------------
Along the way.......take time to eat the shrooms!

I too have been fucked over by the cambodian strain the past 2 times I have attempted it. My first several times growing I used EQ and had fantastic results. I decided to switch to Cambodian but so far, the first batch ALL got contaminated (24 jars) and the second batch didnt even start showing mycelium until 2 weeks after innoculation.

A friend started growing Cam. a few weeks back. He took one fully colonized cake(birdseed) that was showing small signs of green mold and cut off the contam. and put it in a small hole outdoors. Now he has harvested 1 small flush of 10 mid sized shrooms. He heard a rumor that they grow better outdoors. Maybe next time you get a contam. cake you can move it outside instead of dumping it. I got 5 cambodian syringes fro Ryche Hawk a little while ago. Two of the syringes were bad as I had the same problem but on a larger scale. I did 48 jars and 12 were bad and lost 3 to contams. However I was rushed to leave the house and one pressure cooker batch only went 15 min so the three I lost were my own fault. I sent an e-mail explaining what had happened and he offered to replace the syringes. Have not had any of the cams fruit but they are doing fine. What numbers were on your syring? I think the #16 were the ones I had a problem with.

they were good when innoculated cause i did it from a glove box after pressure cooking them for 45-50 minutes at 15psithey were either 16 or 23 quality controll group i forget which. I am treating my eqs like shit and they seem to love it.... L

I find it the best if I use R/h birdseed but I innoculate it with honey water or pf cake chunks.. birdseed tek is way better than anything yet.. I`ve been experimenting with powdered fig tree leaves in the substrate instead of brown rice flower... and the jars are colonizing in about 7 - 9 days.------------------
