If you can find the dine vermiculite, it will stick better to the cakes. I tried using the pulse button on the blender to chop the coarse down and it did some what work. I got smaller pieces that did stick better but not as good as the fine grade. The better your cakes are coated the better they seam to yield.

Ive noticed that finer vermiculite seems to give better results in colonization as well. I will put that to mind for my next run.

I have been getting the big ass bags at home depot. It doesn't say a grade on it, but the 1st time it was coarse and this last time it was fine grade. But I use the big bags for mixing into the substrate for tubs. If I am going to roll cakes I will go to the local store and get a small bag of fine. Speaking of cakes I guess I should do something with the 18 or so pint cakes that are crying to be birthed, lol.

I need to get into my print library and start a project list for this year...at least 5 different cube varieties, and a few wood loving psilocybes(want to start a few beds), and as many gourmet/medicinal varieties I can get going...think I'm gonna try using bags in my 50gal SAB even though I've been told it's a pain in the ass

Finally got a full surface flush from this AA+ mutant clone.
The tissue was taken from a side pin so it has a tendency to pin on the sides even though I use a liner.

Accidentally let em grow a bit too long but here are a couple shots.

You can see some of the fruits from this clone are spore less,  while others have dark spore-filled gills.

Very well but that ones the early bird.  Means it should generate a fast fruiting culture.

I know that it's looked down on but I'd clone one of them sporeless fruits...in hopes of not having to watch for the spore drop

LOL, that is fucking awesome!!! That's a nice return from that small ass sub. Is that a clone? If not you might want to clone something that puts out a fruit like that from such a small sub, could be kickass genetics in a big mono tub.

I would clone if I had the set up I need.Right now I'm working under minimal conditions.I just put a handful of leftover spawn/sub in about 2 weeks ago.I checked it 3 days ago, then put in a small mono to let it mature.MS AA+ BTW.

I was thinking of that and I may do that next tub but these were really overgrown.
I did however swab the gills of one of the spore less fruits and put it to agar. I also chopped the cap and put it on foil.
Just in case
