Gun are the major contributor to homicides in the US. You either want to do something about it or you think that is just the way things are going to be. Seems a little absurd that we put so much focus into worrying about a few terrorist attack and do nothing about the 34000 people killed by guns every year. Americans are a truly stupid group.

speaking of per capita numbers, the U.S. homicide rate sits just under 4/100,000pop/year.  What do you think would be the best case scenario were we to ban firearms outright?(in terms of per capita homicides)

It's 5.3, up from 4.8 a year earlier

Europe, Canada, Australia are between .5 and 2.

Why are you satisfied with such a high murder rate?

Firearms are the number one cause of death for people under 24. You don't think that is a problem?

Firearm deaths take 1-2 years off the American life expectancy.

Why should I care about gangs shooting each other in some US cities?    I don't.

Those statistics have nothing to do with legal gun owners who want that form of self defense.

You don't care about all this white on white violence like Texas and Las Vegas?

Not enough to ban legal gun ownership.

You're an American. That's why you can freely say shit like that without having to worry about being taken away by the state for "reeducation". I think you need to get out of your little box man, go shoot some guns with some fellow Americans, while you still can.

When you were twelve dude. Idk man, I didn't grow up in a major metropolitan area, I did not experience guns the same way you did. Guns were a normal thing for me growing up. But I also lived in the middle of nowhere and we were free to shoot steel barrels and mannequins as much as we wanted. I never knew anyone who was a victim of gun violence. That's where I and many others are coming from. But not everybody is as responsible with guns. Not everybody has a gun safe to prevent accidents. I can't help that other people aren't law abiding and violent. Idk man.

The Nice France truck attack kind of proved that firearms aren't the best option, an 18 wheeler and a block party seems to be one of the best ways to get the most kills.  Iff the dude slammed an 18 wheeler into a church and killed everyone inside no one would say a damn thing about the truck at all lol.

I made a pretty decent gun a few years ago. The barrel was a brass tube, folded at one end. Propellant was homemade nitrocellulose. Bullets were lead fishing weights and the firing mechanism was a blow torch.

Shot a hole right through the basement door.

That is badass. But if you can do that in your basement, what is to prevent a violent killer from doing the same?

It was essentially a little musket. a BB gun that used a explosive charge. It was loaded by stuffing a little wad of gun cotton down to the bottom then putting the lead pellet in. Hold the folded end with pliers. Then heat the area where the gun cotton was until it reached decomposition temp. Worked great until the lead pellet got stuck and the tube exploded.

Trucks aren't a very convenient method for targeted killing. It's a good option for Isis and trump supporters I suppose.

You just single handedly defeated your own already weak argument.

Yeah it was a totally practical weapon that only took 5 minutes to load and was triggered with a blow torch. A true weapon of mass destruction.
