Well lets see, 2 9mm handguns. Mag. size would probably be somewhere between 12-16 depending on the gun, We know he had multiple clips and ammunition. I think with any bit of marksmanship and modern semi-auto technology you could easily take down a group of 10 unarmed men trying to rush you.

Not to mention most ammunition at close range will over-penetrate. Happens all the time, its a swat teams nightmare.

I'd take the pistols to that fight anyday.
