So if our world is ran by secret groups who practice hiding the truth from ignorant people then why would they not be doing it with religion?

I think it sounds fair enough that historically in the dark ages books could have more serious cultural influence especially in that there was a lesser proportion of people who were capable of reading, hence the scribes, the priests and the preachers who could read would end up finding themselves with more influence behind their words. IMO.

The world is now seemingly run like an Oligarchy and it's not like religion hasn't found itself involving a small group of people having control of a country or organization.

You just hit the nail on its head buddy.

....more influence behind their words.

As I mentioned earlier, the point of joining one of these groups is to serve yourself. On the surface and to "the ignorant ones" these groups are in place to help out communities and children and stuff. Sounds noble right? Well members have tools at their disposal to quietly identify other members. It is often done by secret handshakes.

So you find yourself in a court of law. But you have the "golden attorney" or maybe you are a golden boy yourself and know how to secretly communicate with other "members". So you shake your attorneys hand and as you do so you intentionally press your thumb up against his nickels. He does the same. Suddenly you two know you share a brotherhood. And this brotherhood is swarm to over an oath of death..... So, golden lawyer boy approaches the bench, has some words and that is that. During a recess the golden lawyer bumps into the judge. They exchange a few casual words (unrelated to "the case") and shake hands as they part. But the golden lawyer and judge do the same type of thumb pressing you did. Maybe the judge and lawyer are at a higher level of the secret society than you are. If so they likely performed a different handshake than you did. This tells them who is who.....

Now the judge secretly knows that you and him go to the same club. He becomes biased (in a covert way) and you win your law suit.

Happens all the time.

The world is ran by an oligarchy. It got this way because of these fucked up groups practicing these secret handshakes.

No one said a secret society is or has to be small. I'm not picking on any one group and that's why I kept my focus group anonymous but if you consider the Mason's. When someone becomes a Free Mason they enter at the lowest level. Early in their membership they have to decide what type of Mason they want to be and then they work toward a specific type of Mason. I am not and have never been a member so my knowledge is some what limited but Shriners (the guys who drive little cars and wear funny cylinder hats) are Mason's. There are tons of different type of Masonic sects. Some of these secret societies are globalized and humongous.

It's a greedy self serving world.

People practice it partly because we are conditioned to it and are actually programmed (or brainwashed) to gravitate toward said "hell-like" conditions.

It's easier to manipulate and control us that way.
Ever think about trying to sell life jackets to a group of swimmers. They have to be afraid that they might drown before they just put one on simply for being in the water.

My point is that the world we are living in has been carefully designed by people who would do anything to remain in control. Things are the way they are because they were designed that way.

You are a golden boy.
Some places are just fascist, but America for one is an Oligarchy, and has been for some time now.

Quote:
Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence. The results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism.

In the United States, the concept of a deep state is an alleged entity which coordinates efforts by government employees and others to influence state policy without regard for democratically elected leadership.[1][2][3] It has often been dismissed by numerous journalists and academics as a conspiracy theory.[4][5][6][7] The term, which was originally used to refer to sophisticated shadow governments in countries like Turkey and post-Soviet Russia, has also been used in American political science to refer to entrenched government institutions wielding power, without necessarily implying a conspiracy.

Lol, yes

This thread is way off topic.

Thank you, but what is the issue in question?

If it was a burden of proof I've provided a reference for my position.
