okay, so by that logic, you can assume that if one person of a group is wrong that makes the entire group wrong? When I use psychedelics, I rarely think of anything remotely political, I tend to think of music, and things that are close to me, nothing more, politics seem trivial when I use psychedelics.

what makes you think TOYK is a neocon?

what makes you think that people with conservative values
don't also enjoy drugs?

I think welfare is lame...do I contemplate this while I'm tripping?

maybe indirectly while examining my political views, a theme
which has dominated more than a few of my trips.

you were asking me to make an intelligent point about what,
your *intelligent* presumptions and stereotypes about what
conservatives think or do?

nobody even mentioned the neocon qualifier, it was simply a
statement about the erroneous mutual exclusivity of psychedelics
and conservative political views.

once again, your enfatuation with luvdem has caused you to
misinterpret and, as usual, make an ass out of yourself in a
cheap attempt to 'catch' luvdem.

What conservatives think about when they're tripping.

about the erroneous mutual exclusivity of psychedelics and conservative political views.

What I'm waiting for is an intelligent point about why you think conservatives enjoy psychedelic drugs as much as people on the left. Certainly I know of no cultural reference point that supports your theory. All you seem to offer is a blanket statement that "conservatives enjoy psychedelics as much as those on the left" without any support...and whole bunch of childish flames. (Is that what you think about when you trip? Childish flames to post to Alex?  )

the little smiley still doesn't explain why you think
TOYK is a neocon...if anything, he's nothing more than
a back water racist republican, but calling it like it is
isn't as fun as using your new favorite buzz-word, is it?

what do you think conservatives think about when they
are tripping?

I have conservative political views and slightly less
conservative social views, when I trip, I think about
all sorts of wonderful and interesting things, sometimes
even politics...but, no, sorry, I don't think about cutting
welfare and pre-emptive strikes. My apologies if that
throws your whole world-view into disarray.

regardless, it's pretty clear to me that you don't really
care what conservatives think, this is nothing more than
a thinly veiled attack against luvdem, more of Alex's
standard fare.

is that sufficient, or are you still waiting for your mark
to take the bait?

Hate to break this to you but the people leading the republican party right now are widely known to be neocons.

but calling it like it is

Read a book. I repeat, you'll find the people leading the republican party right now are renowned neocons. That's calling it like it is.

but, no, sorry, I don't think about cutting welfare and pre-emptive strikes

Really? Tripping doesn't make you examine your views on these things? Interesting.

regardless, it's pretty clear to me that you don't really care what conservatives think

I don't care no, but I am mildly interested in how they square tripping with persecuting single moms for example. Not really what tripping tends to be renowned for is it. "I took mushrooms and realised I must persecute single moms and desperate people on welfare..".

is that sufficient, or are you still waiting for your mark

The "mark" I don't reply to from one week to the next?

Why do you take things so personally? Is that to do with being on the right too?

you can repeat all you want, but I'm pretty sure
TOYK isn't in the current administration or leading
the republican party right now.

is every bush supporter out there a neocon?

how are single moms being persecuted?

tell me, Alex, what are you *supposed* to learn from
tripping?

I spent nearly an entire LSD trip contemplating
social manners and politeness. Now I say please
and thank you a lot. was that what I was supposed
to learn?

No, but you said he was a republican. The republican party is led by renowned neocons.

is every bush supporter out there a neocon?

Is every Lenin supporter a communist? Maybe, maybe not, but I'd imagine an awful lot of them are.

tell me, Alex, what are you *supposed* to learn from

Read a book like "One nation under God: The triumph of the native american church" for an clue.

I believe it was my comment that started this whole hullabaloo. What I was trying to say is that purposefully altering your conciousness, even though it's against the law, and against society's mores, for the goal of conciousness expansion, is not a conservative thing to do in the least bit. I'm not saying that you wont do such things because of your political offiliation, I'm just saying that said activities aren't conservative at all. To me, I can't see how someone could support republicans and be an avid user of mushrooms, but that's just me. Obviously these things happen. Personally I consider myself a libertarian. I will be voting for Nader though.
