Republicans vote against their own self interests all the time, so an illegal supporting trump wouldn't surprise me. What I think is funny is that apparently trump illegals can't vote, but Clinton ones turned out in record numbers. That's a real pretzel.

Look at the Democrats voted for the Iraq war. They vote against YOUR self interests. Because all of them are imperialist stooges.

I haven't burned my MAGA hat. I voted for him not just for one issue, but several. Politics is a compromise, I understand that. We may not win them all but we are still winning.

It doesnt matter who said it, the point remains the same.
If it were possible to express Terence's concepts in a monosyllabic enough manner for most to understand what he was actually saying or what his intentions actually were I'm sure your opinion might be a little different.
But again, there is no point in arguing like I said before:
as an intellectual you quickly tire of trying to constantly bring light to the darkened realms of ignorance, all you find is that the bigger you build the fire, the more darkness you reveal.
Why is it that the only thing you have to comment on was the fact that a Terence mckenna quote was cited? keep in mind it was not even a comment on the content of the quote, it was a comment that the quote cited originated from Terence McKenna.
Why not discuss the concepts presented by James Madison? Or Aristotle’s Politics? Or the views presented by noam Chomsky? Why not discuss the content of the actual post? Or the content in said post which was directly related to the topic at hand?

Having an uninformed voting population which will make irrational choices, often against their own interests is key for the functioning of this system
Quote:
Take advertising on television, for example. Economics 101 teaches us that markets are supposed to be based on “informed consumers making rational choices.” If we had a market system like that, then a television ad would consist of, says, General Motors putting up information saying “here’s what we have for sale.” But that’s not what an ad for a car is. And ad for a car is a football hero; an actress; the car doing some crazy thing like going up a mountain or something. The point is to create uninformed consumers who will make irrational choices.
And when the same institution — the PR system — runs elections, they do it the same way. They want to create an uninformed electorate, which will make irrational choices, often against their own interests. Right after the election, President Obama won an award from the Advertising industry for the best marketing campaign and the International Business Press executives were euphoric. -Noam Chomsky
Again, free elections and true democracy are illusions:
Quote:
Right through American history there’s been an ongoing clash between pressure for more freedom and democracy coming from below and efforts of elite control and domination coming from above, which goes back to the founding of the United States. James Madison, the main framer, felt the U.S. system should be designed so that power should be in the hands of the wealthy because they’re the more responsible set of men. Therefore, the structure of the formal constitutional system placed most power in the hands of the Senate. At the time the Senate was not elected; it was selected from the wealthy — men as Madison put it had sympathy for property owners and their rights. During the Constitutional Convention of 1787, Madison expressed that the major concern of the society had to be to “protect the minority of the opulent against the majority”. Indeed, suppose everyone had to vote freely… If they had the liberty to do so, then the majority of the poor would get together and organize to take away the property of the rich, which to Madison would have obviously been unjust. Therefore, the constitutional system had to be set up in a way to prevent democracy. -noam Chomsky
All of this should be obvious to anybody who has actually put any thought into this issue.
And again, the system is designed to put the population against one another, the right and left are too busy fighting one another to make any real change. Do you think the system would care if Hillary or trump won? You get a choice between two sanctioned puppets, in the end it ultimately doesn't matter which one gets elected, but the fighting generated between the left and the right is exactly what they want.
The want to divide us, they want to divide us by politics, by class, by race, they will exploit and manipulate any existing prejudices between parties to keep them at each others throats.
The president is up for election every four years, he is a temporary guest in the system, and really has very little power, most of the job of the president is to distract you from those who are actually in control of this thing.
I feel like I am wasting my time. Actually, I know i am wasting my time.
Quote:
One of the leading political scientists, Martin Gilens, came out with a study of the relation between public attitudes and public policy which shows that about 70% of the population has no way of influencing policy. They might as well be in some other country… And the population knows it.
This has led to an angrier and more frustrated population that hates institutions and is not acting constructively to respond to this. There is popular mobilization and activism, but in very self-destructive directions. It’s taking the form of unfocused anger, attacks on one another, and on vulnerable targets. That’s what happens in cases like this. It is corrosive of social relations, but that’s the point. The point is to make people hate and fear each other, and look out only for themselves, and don’t do anything for anyone else.
Watching people here, in a supposedly psychedelic community, fight over left or right, or supporting sanctioned political candidates and parties, I mean honestly supporting them and buying into it, watching this makes me sick.
Just for you guys I Will leave with a mckenna quote:
Quote:
Culturally defined reality is some kind of intelligence test, and those who are joining are failing the test.” -Terence mckenna

Obviously this is not a democratic system.

Public opinion is easily misled. People watch media and sense authority like what is said is fact.
Peoples mirror nuerons are basically retarded. Completely accepting culture they identify with.
Enjoy your mental prison folks!
