Only in the United States can you destroy another country's fighter in their own country and call it "self-defense".

same guy, Dick Black of our VA state senate representing one of my old haunts, also had this to say about Assad, backing up what you previously posted about Tulsi Gabbord saying similar stuff after her visit to Syria.

he's also a regular american vietnam war hero:

Quote:
Black served as a pilot in the US Marines during the Vietnam War, earning the Purple Heart medal.[1] He flew 269 combat helicopter missions with HMM-362’s “Ugly Angels” squadron, which operated out of Ky Ha, Vietnam.[2]

and i've got no reason to doubt him as long as those quotes are true/accurate.

Anyone who looks into Syria beyond what the corporate media tells them will clearly know the US isn't there for moral reasons.  Except maybe Enlil, who accepts the US story of an Assad chemical attack without an investigation.

My link was to the recent attack, bro.

You know, after Assad agreed to remove his chemical weapons, after he was on the offensive and pushing ISIS back, after the US needed an excuse to stop Assad's successful offensive...

The US is now determined to split Syria in two.  I hope it doesn't lead to war with the Syrian Government or Russia...

At least in Korea you could debate whether or not the US was helping the Koreans.

In this case, the only people we're helping are religious extremists.  How can the American population support that?

Oh yeah, The Ecstatic explained:

'Syrian Democratic Forces' lol. I guess 'Free Syrian Army' wasnt freedomy enough.

Syrian women carry water in the village of Bir Saeed on the outskirts of Raqa on February 7, 2017, after Syrian Democratic Forces retook control of the village.

This is a few months old, but I don't think it's been posted here yet.  Dennis Kucinich is THE MAN.

Dennis Kucinich: Why are we at war in Syria?

Quote:
The war in Syria is not a fight for democracy. The U.S. is fighting alongside and supporting the cause of 80,000 jihadis from 90 different countries. Nearly a half-million Syrians have died in the war fueled by this sinister worldwide participation.

The U.S. is equipping terrorists who keep changing their name, but the game is the same: To unite and achieve a radical Islamic fundamentalist takeover of the region.

Billions of U.S. tax dollars have helped spawn this war, creating death and misery, massive migrations of refugees and immigration crises.

The U.S. presence in Syria is an illegal act of war. It violates international law and it is unconstitutional. Syria did not invite the U.S. to come in. Congress has not approved it. Syria has been fighting Al Qaeda, Al Nusra, ISIS and other radical Islamic terror groups to whom Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey and the U.S. have given direct and indirect aid.

ISIS and the other terrorist groups can be defeated by cutting off their funds, which is exactly what Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard’s just-introduced bill, the Stop Arming Terrorists Act (HR 608), aims to do. A companion bill, S. 532, has been introduced in the Senate by Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.

Most of the media is fueling the war, unwittingly becoming a mouthpiece for the masterful, intelligent propagandists of jihadi groups whose “humanitarian” messaging permeates every level of social media. It tugs at the conscience of caring people while masking the reality of violent subjugation and religious extremism that propels their movement.

A deeper question needs to be asked: Why is it U.S. policy to upend Syrian society, whose tradition has been to respect freedom of worship by people of all faiths, and replace it with religious extremism?

bare with me:

let's say the US wants to rapidly boost their economy.  well, outside of imperial expansion and outsourcing, which both of those things are reaching their capacities, how else could this be achieved?  toppling the economies of other first-/second-world nations, ruining their currencies' values, and leaving the USD comparitively unscathed if not bolstered.

so what if the US had a damn good idea the conditions the refugee situation would make in European countries, and how it would impact their economies/currencies?  what if this has been the long, long-con, so disheveled-looking from the outside, but perfectly executed from the inside.  couple that with ever-increasing, unrivaled arms-sales over a series of presidents over the years

too wack-a-doodle?

Although I disagree with him on many issues....he at least is convicted in his beliefs and I give him respect in that regard. The Dems would do much bettter if they headed his stances....to include Syria and the whole Russian investigation

Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

Bill To ‘Stop Arming Terrorists’ Gets Only 13 Supporters
Quote:
The text of the bill is simple. It merely states that it prohibits the use of federal agency funds to provide covered assistance to: (1) Al Qaeda, Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), or any individual or group that is affiliated with, associated with, cooperating with, or adherents to such groups; or (2) the government of any country that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) determines has, within the most recent 12 months, provided covered assistance to such a group or individual.

It is quite possibly the simplest and most rational bill ever proposed by Congress.

After nearly 5 months since its introduction, only 13 of the 535 members of Congress have signed on as co-sponsors.

To add insult to treason and murder, Senator Rand Paul [R-KY] introduced this same legislation in the Senate. He currently has zero cosponsors.

I'm surprised (and happy) to learn that my own representative is one of the few co-sponsors.

I'm even more surprised to learn that Trump went ahead and stopped funding terrorists in Syria anyway:

Trump Ends CIA Program Of Funding Terrorists In Syria

Trump Finally Stops Arming Terrorists in Syria

Quite a nice little surprise in my news feed I must say.
Gave Assad's airfields a spanking for the gas attacks, but left it at that.

Yeah, nice of the guy accused of colluding with Russia to make a move which alleviates military pressure on Russia and its ally in the conflict.

For the record, i agree with the move.  But do we really think Trump gives a fuck about arming bad guys when he was just circlejerking the Sauds?

who cares? So long as money isn't being wasted in useless pursuits.
Best thing the U.S can do is pull out of that region, pull out hard, leave the mess to Russia (and the oil lol)

Trump bombs Assad airfield = doesn't disprove collusion.
Trump stops funding rebels = proves collusion.
