Dude, I have drank and bought shine all throughout the south, I used to do the summer fiddler conventions all over there. Spent a good amount of time based out of Boone NC and Trade TN playing fiddle and banjo.
I thought you were cool at first, now I know you are:tongue2:

Funny how corn liqour brought me to the realization you were a fiddler.
The best corn is made by fiddlers:wink: Tommy Jarrell dog.

that song is fuckin incredible... also one of my favorites, such great songwriting

also "at my window," "snow dont fall," "ships of andilar" (reminds me of "the white ship," one of my favorite lovecraft short stories), "dont let the sunshine fool ya," and about 20 more....

and sweet jesus, the lyrics of "only him or me" are solid gold, a reason to live for anyone lacking one

Quote:
Don't go saying I'm leaving you
Thinking I never got close enough to stay
Time runs in, and then runs out
Starts again and it's always been that way
You're gonna drown tomorrow
If you cry to many tears for yesterday
Tomorrow's half of all you've got
So treat him good, 'cause when I'm gone, he'll stay
I won't be forgetting you
You won't be forgetting me, I know
If memory comes a summer cloud
Rains her sweetness down to me below
I see you like you look right now
Maybe wonder why I had to go
But heaven is the way she is
Rain falls and rivers flow
So here's to feelin' good
Here's to feelin' bad
Here's to bein' thankful
Sorry for the pleasures that we had
And autumn days and window panes
God, forgive us if you feel deceived
The clock don't know you like I do
And it's only him or me you got to believe

what myc projects have you been working on these days? im getting caught up with my agar work and then building a fruiting room, gonna take a break from bulk and trying to grow the largest mushrooms i can haha... gonna focus on exotics and experimental stuff for a bit

Beautiful song!
In my circle we get into heated debates about the best song writer of all time, it always comes between Townes and Dylan.
Problem is Townes didnt live long enough to build a catalogue like Dylan
I'm sure you have seen, "Be here to love me", what a tragic story
Seeing you are a reader, writer, and good with words, are you a Dylan fan as well?

Sorry to derail your thread here with music talk, but while we are on it, my favorite fiddle music is Gid Tanner and His Skillet Lickers

And for projects, I have just been growing my Kings and Reishi, but I am about to start some Shiitaki 3782 I got a while back ago, but havnt had time to grow out, keep taking it out and putting it on dishes and then get to busy to use it. Also, I have a prospect of getting hired at a local mush farm in the next month or so, I am keeping my fingers crossed for that, I like working for myself, but I also would like the experience of working in a big lab and farm.

Also I started a huge reishi grow before the new year, almost 100 invitro bags, and I am chipping away at harvesting and drying these things, I am thinking of just building some crazy dehydrator so I could get it done quicker

“Townes Van Zandt is the best songwriter in the whole world, and I'll stand on Bob Dylan's coffee table in my cowboy boots and say that”

though of course dylan is phenomenal, class of his own for sure. another two of my favorite bands are Meshuggah and King Crimson, meshuggah is really heavy, but both are really big on polyrhythms, which are like crack for my ears (are you familiar with them?)

nice tune!! ive never heard that! gonna be stuck in my head

holy jesus! damn at the reshi bags! haha... do you get any sleep?

i still havent done any bags with this hood, im a little worried i might miss the height and width of my custom SAB :/

been really diggin the hood so far though, totally flawless first few hundred plates

Who's qoute was that? Guy Clark?

I would say the difference in their writing is stark, Townes wrote from a place of deep torment and lament, Dylan's came/comes from a passion of word play and story telling. I can't say why they both are compared to eachother and probably will forever be, except maybe they both came from the same roots in traditional music and both have worn a cloak of mystique, and maybe because Doc Watson liked to covor them both

Dude, I had a shit load of time and supplies at hand when I started my Reishi project, I decided to go huge because I could dry and store them when done, but lately between keeping up on everything else, farmers market and busking (which is what I do for extra cash) I hardly have the time to even harvest and dry the mofos:tongue2:

Making 150 ppm chlorine solution to battle bacterial blotch

Been using this one alot lately, end of summer storms have my ambient humidity and heat uncomfortably high, not getting good fae with traditional monotub design, lots of condensation from temp swings between night and day and slightly over wet substrates mean I’ve been having bacteria issues, been making dryer coir but also combating it with this and flipping lids for max fae but gotta be careful to find the parfect balabce between drying off and drying out/matting.
