I find myself coming back to this thread all the time to troubleshoot. May I suggest adding a large section on agar? I have no clue what all the growth is on my plates, and if that's even cube mycelium.

John allen sent me some spores from them they were collected in i believe ecuador from some local kids

i will try to work on these this year

I was reading in an old thread that subcubensis may have just been a misclasified cubensis. Is that true? Someone in an old thread thinks so:
"Subcubensis is not really a separate species. It was a mistake classifying them as a new species. New genetic data shows that they are the same species. The published sequence for subcubensis is identical to the consensus cubensis sequence.

The only thing I can find is it has smaller spores :shrug:

The annulus on this specimen is stuck on the pileus margin.
Happens sometimes, I even had an entire cake do it once, and the mushrooms were strangely bell shaped.
But still P.cubensis.
