I usually give my mushrooms 12-24 hours to get throughly dry in the food dehydrator. I heard that you can get them dry sooner then that, but I prefer to have them extra-extra dry then risk it, you know?

i think after they have been in the dehydrator you could throw them in some sealed container with dessicant for the best results.

Just use a big ziplock bag with dessicant in the bottom and paper towel over it. Seal bag and voila! cracker dry the next day.

Sure, that would work great. I also use dessicant after the shrooms have been in the food dehydrator, as well as storing them with a little package of dessicant.
