I sold some to a 18 year old blond girl, some lsd. The alternative was letting her go score some possible nbomes at a rave. She was my buddies gf and i didnt want her to die. She was going to bicycle day party where they were screening neurons to nirvana with like jugglers and fire breathers etc, so i was like fuck it she will be fine those people will take care of her, hippies are pros at that shit. I dont have a bunch of texts between us or facebook messages either so if something did happen no would know where it came from.

My friend like hates me now because he never did any drugs and desperately wanted to try shrooms so I let him take them with me and he freaked the whole time and I had to talk him down while havin a bad trip myself, and now he wants me to give him more for him and some girl and I know he won't be able to handle it if he freaks out and they're both inexperienced so he's been pissed at me because I told him no unless I'm there or someone experienced because who knows what would of happen if I didn't keep him calm the first time.

Some people are fine sharing their drugs, and if they're experienced I probably would be too, but if theyre not there's just too great a risk for them and you.

If your friend is 18 or older first and foremost, so of the age that their taking drugs is THEIR responsibility..

If your friend is a FRIEND and not some freeloading opportunist..

If you in your drug veteran wisdom deem the person and the drug a good fit..

Be the one to introduce them. So many of us have made such bad mistakes because we never had a mentor, never had a sitter, you can prevent this for them.

The elders should teach the young uns, that goes for being a psychonaut too.

My niece is 4 years old now, so a bit young for back-to-back MXE rectal dosing  but when she turns 18 and wants to try a joint, I much rather be the one to introduce her than that she learns from her peers, who may be entangled with other drugs like speed and coke as well.

I am leaning towards this point of view as well.

But it's not watertight. I mean: "If you in your drug veteran wisdom deem the person and the drug a good fit.." sounds reasonable, but what if I do not deem them a good fit, but they intend to take it anyway. Then I'm in the same dilemma again. I could say, do it with me in my place, so I can control the setting and the dosage, or I could pull out and decide I do not want anything to do with it.

Either way poses risks. The first choice that I may be held responsible if anything goes wrong, the second choice that I will feel responsible because I might have been able to prevent whatever bad happens.

So, no, I'm still not sure what to do.

 Hanz.

ps: good call about the rectal dosing with your niece

You can share your wisdom without sharing your dope. Surely your cousins will understand the epic shitstorm you will find yourself in should something happen.

From a users point of view you are right off course, but I am pretty sure this wouldn't fly in most families. I am assuming you are somewhat older than your relatives. Even though everybody is technically an adult You will be held accountable as caregiver should something happen.

for all those who keep saying you would rather them be safe than in an unknown setting you should think about this:

it's better to let someone else have all the liability rather than you. Since you don't know the outcome of said drug because they have never tried it, assume all liability will be placed on you for whatever crazy shit said person does.

personally? i'd rather have them be someone else's liability.

Yes, so this is the other choice. The hands off approach. This is easy if you don't really care for the other person.

If, however, you care a great deal, and let them go their own way without experience or knowledge, and something does go wrong, then you will feel responsible too. You will feel like you could have prevented it.

See, that's why it is a dilemma, and not just a problem with one answer.

"caring" about someone who wants to take illegal substances for the first time and getting involved with a potential law enforcement situation is a line only an idiot would cross.

Well thank you for calling me an idiot because I care about my friends.

I can not help but think that perhaps you have yet to learn what it means to actually care for someone.

Maybe you have never cared about anyone. It's even possible no one has ever really cared about you.

In that case the dilemma simply does not exist for you.

I congratulate you with this fortunate state of affairs.

However, I do not have the freedom not to care about my friends.

Hans is a loving and caring human being...everything he has ever contributed to this site has verified that. I say go with option 1 with low to moderate doses after thoroughly explaining  to them all of the "what to expects" from these substances. Of course, this option also depends on the mental frame of each person...if they are very anxious by nature...maybe rethink...or, at the very least keep a xanax on hand for emergency.

My girlfriend and I went through this with her 20 yr. old son and his gf....first time for both and they both had some anxiety issues. I concocted about 3 grams of ps. ovoids in orange juice and they split it between them. Since we were both sober, we were quite able to reroute any of the loops or anxieties that they were having by simply letting them know calmly that we were there and to get them outside in nature...she has a pretty secluded yard so...turned out great....they layed down in the grass on a warm sunny day and watched the clouds..
Anyway, my point is, that they both had a great experience but also witnessed the anxiety of the comeup of mushrooms and now better understand them...Oh yeah, they both threw up too. lol

this was because we were there to circumvent their anxieties as soon as they came up.:sunny::peace:

Who are you to say what priorities people should have? I would never trust a man who would put laws before the people he cares for. That's you. You talk about liabilities but any person with a good heart understands they are liable for those they care for if they see a danger. You'd let someone you love die or ruin their lives as long as it meant you were sitting pretty in the end? Sometimes when an idiot calls you an idiot the best thing you can do is agree.

That's very kind of you to say Thayen, it's also how I think of you.

Your story is the kind that I do hope for myself. The difference is that in your setting the young man was with his own mother. That means there is someone present who already has a natural responsible role that they are used to.

In my setting this will probably not be the case. These youngster will most likely not want to trip with their mother or father present. I'd be glad if they did not already regard me as one of the dull old generation

Yes, so this will probably be my choice: to first and foremost share knowledge, information, experience and connections. To at least make sure they understand what they're doing, getting, and taking.

Then, and only then, will I consider proposing that I could be some kind of trip sitter, or co-tripper.

Keep dosage low if it's a first time. Keep it reasonable if it's not. Nothing heroic.

Anyway, I'm still thinking about it....

Love, Hanz.

There isn't a reason to not do it, unless you buy into the ideals of the war on drugs enough to implement them into your personal life.

Re: Dilemma. To share or not to share that drug with someone else... [Re: abltsandwich]
    #23249588 -

Perhaps that is another point.

What has more weight for me though is that if I do trip sit, or co-trip, then anything that does not go completely according to plan or satisfaction will be on my shoulders. If my friend has a bad trip, even if he does not blame me, I will still feel somewhat responsible. If something serious happens, or even if there is just a misunderstanding like someone calling 911 when there was really no reason to, then my name will come up too.

You see, this is not about giving in to the ideals of the war on drugs, besides, we don't really have that here in the NL anyways. There is no war here. Most of us are fairly reasonable people, even those who have questionable political views.
