would it really be that hard to take away boundaries. I really don't see much of a problem with a "global village" I mean look, I'm from cali, and lla these assumptions come with being from cali, when in fact I am jsut a person just like everyone else.

don't you think it is rather childish???

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Yes it's childish, and yes it would be hard to take those boundaries away. What you are
suggesting is similar to what Karl Marx was suggesting over a century ago, and I think we all know how that worked out. He believed that the working class of every country would look beyond national boundaries and collectively overthrow their oppressors. However, the working class have proved to be much more loyal to their oppressors than Marx anticipated. Instead, patriotism is strong within the working class, and they wouldn't dare unite with other workers around the globe to overthrow their oppressors, the capitalists.

Land ownership is oppressive, not only to humans but to the land and all other creatures on it. For someone to have land someone else has to be landless. And when someone owns it they believe they have the right to do with it what they will, regardless of the land's own desires and needs.

To take away the boundaries may not be a simple process, but one that needs to happen. In our world, in order to sleep one must pay for it. Either by buying land or renting in from someone who "owns it." It is illegal to sleep on public land, but if its so "public" shouldn't members of said public be able to do what they will on it, so long as it doesn't hurt anyone? How does sleeping hurt anyone? It's ludicrous.

I"m not talking about classes here. i think classes just serperate more. especially between the have's and the have not's. What I am saying is that there is a price on earth and to me that's hella crazy.

native americans didn't own earth, and there were tons of tribes. they moved around as to not deplete the earth of it's trees and buffalo, among other things. Karl Marx, still wants class, I don't.

Actually, that's completely false. Karl Marx's MAIN objective was to create a classless society. Also, he would point to sicieties like the Native Americans as an example of "primitive communism." He set out to make a more advanced communism which could be adapted to industrialized nations. The problem was it didn't work. Communism couldn't be effectively implemented on such a large scale. It only worked in small tribal communities and later communes. I wish Marx's utopian vision would've worked. I wish we could all live in harmony, sharing the land, without boundaries, without private property, but the shit just doesn't work out that way in real life.

hmmm, you give me a lot to think about.

thanks for clearing up my misconceptions  .  i was thinking while outside, did native americans have class?  they had a chief right?  but then I was thinking, wasn't it realy agreed upon everyone in the tribe that this person was the chief?  this way they functioned in little groups. and lots of them.  is this still what Karl Marx wanted, or does this differ some how?

Native Americans, at least the hunter-gatherer ones, as well as other hunter-gatherers, had a sort of informal leadership based on age, experience, and contribution to the community. This isn't quite what Marx had in mind, but that's why he calls it "primitive communism."

is it rediculous for me to think that actually putting a price tag on a piece of earth is absurd??

well... it's worth something, ain't it?

how does one really put worth on a piece of property like that?

it's pretty simple really. the price is that which you can convince another person to voluntarily exchange for it.

One of the most significant problems with marxism is that it wasn't enough. It simply replaced the monarchy with an equally greedy and oppressive beurocracy. Any authoritarian system is bound to be oppressive which is why authoritarianism itself needs to be thrown out the door, with it goes many forms of oppression.

i'd say that the labor theory of value + the notion that centrally planning something as dynamic and complex as a market is actually a good idea + ignorance of the totalitarian nature of such a system are the biggest problems of marxism.

we often see communism and fascism expressed as two extreme poles on a continuum. this couldn't be further from the truth. they are hardly different.

I agree. The whole right/left thing is more of a circle than a line, with the right and left converging at two points: communism/fascism and anarchism/libertarianism.
