Getting my vision corrected with lasik tomorrow * 1

:awesomenod: technology is amazing, and I wanted to say i love all you guys in case they make me blind and i can't chill on the shroomery anymore, and if so I take back technology being amazing.

Fucking thrilled, blind as a bat without my glasses on and contacts fuck up my eyes so I've been saving to do this for years and it's finally time:awedance:

Yeah u have to wear those weird spider man looking goggles for about 8 hours after its done :lol: they said I should have most of my vision corrected and be able to drive the following morning and then it'll gradually get even better over a short period of time

@Sheekle, they give you a mild sedative to relax and some eye drops that stop your eyes from moving as much, the guy who checked me out today said it's only 40 seconds an eye, but you're still awake for it

So you're supposed to stare perfectly straight for 40 seconds and if you move at all you'll literally go blind forever for the next several decades of your life?

I'm pretty sure the nervousness will make my eyes twitch and ruin my life

I had Lasik done. Its fucking awesome, no more contacts or glasses bullshit anymore.

Good luck! Its a breeze! I got it done before going to college like 4 years ago lol! Literally was one of the best decisions of my life. My vision sucked before then and I hated wearing contacts, so I was basically blind all the time. Almost my whole family got it also and they love it! I don't get why more people don't get it..

Best thing I ever did...I had mine done 15 yrs. ago and have never regretted my decision....and, I was blind as a bat.:sunny:

That's the coolest part, the machines they have now are supposedly motion sensitive and will move with your eyes if you twitch around, according to the guy there's less then a .05% chance of having any complications, and the chance of completely blind is basically nonexistent, in his words

And it's a lifetime gaurentee and free touch ups if I ever need them done for whatever reason

Edit: I'm not sure how this works still, but you can supposedly blink even during the procedure too, I guess I'll find out how in the morning

It's pretty awesome. My physician got me to 15/20 within 48 hours (better than 20/20).

I remember riding my bike with a bran new pair of those "high contrast" riding glasses the day or two after. I was just staring at the trees in awe because I could see so much detail.

Definitely a life changer.

Twas a success!! Basically already have 20/20 but i have to wear these goggles for the rest of today and everytime I sleep for a week.

Procedure was really quick but my legs were shaking because it's freaky how they do some of it but still, fuck yeah :lol:

damn kinda got me wanting to get my vision corrected now. i mean it aint the worst i lived with it long enough, i just have trouble reading shit from far away and little details and such. little enough that i dont bother with glasses beside for night driving

but it would still be overall a huge improvement and i could imagine it being pretty life changing to see crystal clear all the time without any vision aid.
