A Shroomery vision - The next year and beyond.

Well I was thinking about what the future might bring for the site and I'd like to share with you all what my vision would be for it.

In the next year our focus will be mostly on improving the main site. As many of you know the main site is maybe at standards of 1998ish, not nearly where it should be.

The main goal of the next year is to spend money on improving this website on its founding principles, mushrooms. Our community is very important, always will be. But the last 4-5 years this has been the main focus and now we see that our community is vibrant and very strong.

The Shroomery will grow a great deal in the next 5 years, no doubt the uniqueness and qualities of this community will thrive in the community part of this site. With all the great gatherings and the cool vibes that come from this we expect to only see this place get consistantly better.

What we have here is a lot of oppertunity to improve and to help steer this community and website along to great things. So much has changed in my 6yrs here, and I can only imagine what 10yrs will look like.

Some things I imagine we'll see in the next 10yrs:

1. A more activist based group in our commmunity that will be a part of fighting against the ignorance against drugs and to take more active visable roles in the drug war.

2. An overwhelming mushroom gallery and info site that has no equal. We will have interactive maps for mushroom species, legalities, etc..

3. Likely expansion into edible mushroom cultivation that will bring a new feel to the site, especially that we feel not only do mushrooms taste good in soup but they do great things for the enviornment.

4. As the site grows more focus on funding projects related to benefits of psychadelics, such as what mushrooms can do for clusterheads.

5. Re-investing our funds consistantly every year back into the site to allow us great speed and the ability to host videos, voice chat, etc..

I think we are all very fortunate to have what we have here. I know many focus soley on things they feel negetively about on the site. Truly what we have here on the site is choice, you choose to make this site what it is for you. Your experience here is based solely on your choices.

I think no matter what this community will always strive to be better and will always make great strides to be the best it can be.

But our main focus will be what this place ultimately is about, mushrooms.

Those are all great visions. It's exciting seeing the Shroomery slowly evolve. I'd even be willing to help where I could..

ever since i found the shroomery almost 2 years ago, it has been pretty much the only thing i use the computer for....i love this place, and i look foward to watching/being a part of its evolution in the coming years....

i would definately want to see more of the mushroom aspect of the site fine tuned.

make this site so we can post videos would be kick ass. not to mention as technology increases, so will this site.


btw...do you guys need any chipping in of dinero for helping the site?

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

In the decades ahead, I envision the Shroomery colonizing space. Perhaps, in some sort of giant, inflatable, mushroom shaped, space station; possibly, weaved out of some sort of synthetic fabric like Vectran?. The shroomerites could bounce around inside the micro-gravity environment, like kids bouncing around in one of those giant inflatable clown heads at the Fun Spot! :laugh:

Anno could conduct experimental spawn runs in micro-gravity, and record the results.

Space is the future! In my mind, I'm already there!? :laugh:

What i would like to see is the Shroomery take some strides towards serious research into cubenisis growth and care....
Granted, that would be a problem given the current legal status, but it's what i would like to see. Home growth is now accessible.....next we need to get into the real guts of the beast.

But this takes time and money.
