OK, how many have gotten lasik?
Are you..... ... or... ..... with the results?
How long ago was it?
And does it feel weird when you get fucked up? -Or do you get "used" to it real quick?
I've been screened by a two docs and I'm a perfect candidate. I've already made my decsision and set a date. Just want some opinions.
Thanks! CLUTCH

I hear it's from a Lasik and they do surgery on your eye. I can't be sure though. Sounds like it could be fun.

my father had it.
he said overall it is a drastic improvement, but it takes time.
immediately after the surgery it was worse than before, and it took 6 mounths to see any improvements... but around a year after surgery his eyes were a lot better than before.

My sister got it done, and she said it was an immediate difference for her. although she had to be careful and wear sunglasses and things on her eyes for a while, shes said as soon as the machine moved over and back she noticed a difference

Its $390 CAD per eye here in T.O. I see ad's in the paper all the time.
I really want to get it, im just scared of the whole process. I've heard some 'negative' things about it, altho those might be with the old machines (ie: bad nightvision). Im also scared of the method they do it in.... Sorta operate on your EYE while your awake....ew... Not only that but my eyes are extermely sensitive, im not sure how i'd keep from moving all that time.
Tell us how it went after!

my gf is having it soon...
her dad had it and has had no problems that i know of...
i would like to get it done at some point.. but there is no way they are operating on my eye when i'm awake... i'd have to get knocked out or i'd probably be fighting with them during the procedure... i really don't want someone fucking around with my eye.

I as going to start a thread about this awell... spooky
I saw a documentary on TV and it showed it being done - not pretty Large metal eye vice devices with a machine which shaves the top bit of your eye off, looks horrible!
I'd love to have it done but over in the UK it costs about ?800+
Heard stories of the surgery going "too far" the other way and you cant sue if it does apparently, plus you cant wear contact lenses ever again if you have to in later life (so ive heard)

I got it done about two years ago.

For the first year my eyesight was awesome. Now it is just good. I have noticed a definite degradation as time has gone on. Let me add that my current eyesight is still incredibly better than it was before the surgery and I am glad that I had it done.

The surgery and the 24 hours after the surgery are uncomfortable but not painful. You will notice immediately that your eyesight is better. Your night vision will be goofy and smeared looking for a while (not bad enough that you can't drive but bad enough that you will notice).

Another thing. DO NOT go to some cheap place to get it done (the kind that are advertised in newspapers and that say "$400 per eye" and shit like that). Those places have higher instances of fucking stuff up. The doctors there are young inexperienced people right out of school. Go to a reputable eye clinic. It will cost more money, but the peace of mind is worth it.

A guy I work with had it done last summer. He maintains that it is one of the best decisions that he has ever made.
The only side effects that he experienced were halos or like a glowing to the street light at night that kind of bothered him at first. But it went away within two weeks.
I have almost convinced myself to get it done this year.
