I've done that before and put them in capsules(for a concert). although IMHO it's a waste of time unless you have someone that realllly gets sick from the taste....but on a happier not the potency wasn't affected at all. Good luck.

how many grams of powder went into your capsules? a 5 g. capsule, HOLY SHIT! But cool...

nope they were just your norm capsules...i opened up some kava capsules..they held about .5g each..and it was a pain doing it without an actual pill filling tool.

Well I haven't exactly had a "shroom powder" but I have ground up shrooms with my bare hands and I think it was stronger than regular shrooms because I wasn't swallowing larger pieces of shroom, just really tiny ground up pieces and I suspect this made it quicker and easier for my stomach to digest.(I had a really strong trip :wink: )

5 grams of shroom powder or 5 grams of dried shrooms is the same thing. However, different species will produce different levels of trips. A typical Psy. Cub. will require 6 - 6.5 grams for a "Level 5." Remember, you will need to eat at least 10 times that amount if the shrooms are fresh. I don't recommend doing that many shrooms unless you have done it many times before. Peace.

I always grind mine up into a powder, its kicks in alot faster. ill fill about 14 gel caps per eigth.

P.Semilanceata (sp?) is the most common mushroom where I live. I pick a load in Sep-Nov, dry them and grind them up in a pestle and mortar. Then put the dust into sterile sample bottles. Stick them in the fridge and hey presto, still potent 8 months later. I measure out 1-1.5 grammes divide the dust up into 3 piles. Put each pile into a small blue Rizla paper. Fold it up and swallow with water. Yummy :smile:

Doomhammer, I think you hit the nail on the head , if you will excuse the pun. Grinding up shrooms into a fine powder and then swallowing definitely makes the shrooms work better as more of the shrooms are digested faster and more effectively. I normally grind up in a coffeee grinder & then mix with equal parts honey and swallow. The honey seems also to reduce tolerance levels.
Trust me , I'm a Doctor.
But if you dont want to take my word for it,
try it and see !
