Don't read too much into it. There are a good number of 3 bedroom apartments that go for much less (even as low as half) than the prices listed here. Have a hunch the other cities listed are similar.

around here you can get a nice two bedroom for 800... pretty sure that is somewhat standard for the US outside of the huge, overpriced cities. You can get cheaper places for 550-600 that are sorta ghetto but not real bad or anything.

Do some of you guys not realize that there are many places in northern usa just as cold or colder than some parts of canada?

I have to say though, everything else is cheaper in the usa. Cars, food, etc. Plus does that account for the huge difference in usd to cad? Your dollar is worth a shit load in canadian. Lol. Like 1800$ usd is 2300$ cad.

I bet u could get better deals on certain places here in the good old usa. Plus America has like the best everything for cheap its like a thing with us. Canada sucks at business n basically mooches off us and complains about it and tries to shit on us but its like one of those close drinkin buddies you tease about stuff but u know has ur back if shit ever really goes down

It's about quality of life, too. I don't think Canadians have the short end of that stick really. Even if it is cold. Besides those prices really only reflect the market with the most demand. Yeah NYC or SF is expensive, but most people live ACROSS the river or bay and get to take advantage of the city without necessarily living in it. Living in an apartment in Manhattan would be awesome though.

I feel like i could live fine on minimum wage.

Even life homeless here in the states is considerably better than living in alot of other countries.

Also getting roomies helps alot or just renting a room if u dont mind living with ppl.
My last place was two hundo a month everythig included.

Im sure things could be better here but as i currently blow all my cash on getting high, i cant blame my country for my current situation.

This truly is the land of opportunity imo, people have just gotten entitled.
