the officers actions would have TOTALLY been different if the suspect was an old lady (which is more prone to reckless driving)...THATS THE POINT

there is no consistency with these fucking slabs of bacon, they get frightened or whatever and pull a gun, when there was a slew of things he SHOULD have done.

THAT is why he is going to jail, he could have PREVENTED that mans death.

picture the situation a little different, say there was a second cop, your buddy is hanging out the window, car starts taking off, and he shoots the driver......he's a hero, saves his cops life.

The driver was acting hella suspicious though, and there is a pretty established Blood prescence in various Ohio cities.  There was something going on with that driver.

That cop is a dumb ass to put himself in that position in the first place, they should be a little more intelligent then that.

What all of you fail to understand is that police officers have to follow a force continuum and ALL of that mans actions were not life threatening nor could be perceived as such.

Lethal force was unacceptable here. Look at the laws for all states in the US. We are not in Mexico people.

On the flipside, if there was no camera....the pig would have gotten away with murder.

I'm not justifying it, just something to consider when getting into the cops head.  I think the whole shooting thing was out of line unless that cop saw something I didn't see in that video.

In all honesty it seem like it endangers the public more to send a dead guy screaming down the road than just falling back and persuing with back up and copters etc.  If that pole wasnt there it was going into those buildings/houses behind it..
