its also their job to end violence as fast as possible to save lives.  letting that guy go means he could run someone over a block from there, murder someone, whatever it may be that he's running from.  he might never get caught.  could be a serial killer, u don't know.

he shot because the car started moving and he was about to get ran over, he was partly in the car trying to stop him.  to prevent all the bad things that could happen he choose to end it right there.

If he did let that car go, and the car hits someone, or the guy gets out and robs a store, kills some people, w/e, thats all on that cop, he failed at the traffic stop and let the guy go

Doesn't change the fact that police MUST be reactive. When they make assumptions, that is how innocent lives are lost. You can't ask "what if" questions when contemplating ending a human life.

The cop that was hanging on would be at fault if he was harmed AFTER the guy drove off. He is the one hanging on, no one is forcing him.

By "what if" questions, I mean questions like "is he gonna run over a dude if I don't kill him now?" He should have REACTED to the situation by letting the fuck go and chasing him down, not assuming he is gonna hurt anyone if he is let go.

so shoot me if I decide to do shrooms because i MIGHT have a bad trip and do something CRAAAAZZZYYYY

shoot me in my mouth becuase im drunk, and you THINK im going to get on the road and kill someone...

cmon man, if this was in a country where cops did not have guns then there is a HIGH chance that the guy who drove off would have eventually been arrested and jailed.

the cop signed up for this job. the suspect had no weapon. dumb ass cop should have moved instead of using his energy to unholster his gun and fire,,,OR WAS IT ALREADY OFF OF THE HOLSTER BEFORE HE DROVE OFF HUH??

What if an old ass grandmother did the same thing? blow her head off? LMAO your ridiculous, no it was because the cop is a pussy, the suspect is black, and whatever else.

You guys have to understand that videos such as these are the tiny minority.

There are close to 2 million cops in the US and close to 20 milions arrests per year. So what you guys see is the 1 in a milion thing.

In the video, it appears to man doesn't appear to accelerate until the cop is beginning to level the gun at him.  I believe kicking out your legs is a natural fear reaction, isn't that something they teach you in driving school?

I can't really make any judgement about the guy's hands because its so quick, literally less than a second the cop shoots him.

I'm not saying dude driving was/is a saint but would you kill someone over no front plate, a bottle of gin and them telling you to fuck off and leave essentially.

Probably not... here in cincy people get away with murder on a more regular basis than I like to think. This was unlawful use of force!

Stack it how you wish..

So if a cop yells stop then after that he can shoot you?!?!

your taking it all out of context, if your crazy on drugs in a car, u won't get out, then try to run people over, yes shooting you is an option, the best one? no, but it is an option to end it as quickly as possible so you don't kill someone.  is aiming for your head the best option? not for you, but most likely for the lawyers who try to defend the lawsuit that racist america will try to charge anyone for killing a black person with

Yeah good point !

If some dude was hanging onto my window pointing a gun at me, I'd be flooring the fucking gas, not slowing down and letting fate decide what happens.

exactly. cops are not mind readers. they react, which sucks, but its the JOB THEY SIGNED UP FOR.

tired of these fucking cops signing up for the job, then mad that they have to SEE drugs/weapons/etc before they get on someones case.  This is how planting evidence all got started.

'oh look hes reaching for gun' **BOOM BOOM** nah, just his cell phone. derp

I don't think anyone here cares that he's black, just that he shouldn't be dead.

And, just because you are trained to react, doesn't mean you reacted appropriately, you are still capable of overreacting, which is the problem in this video.

the cop cares that he is black..even if its just a little bit. maybe its threatening to him or maybe he just despises them idk..

would the same situation go down if it was a chinese old lady? dont think so.

he might have still of had his gun holstered

thats because he didn't start pointing the gun until the driver finally managed to get it into gear, watch it frame by frame, he grabs the driver after he turns the key, he points his gun as the driver reaches for the shifter, he pulls the trigger once its shifted and the cars moving or about to move

But come on now, is that really a reason this guy should of been killed, and over front license plates.....just take his license plate, not his life.

If you panic because a cop has his gun out you're really take a big chance.

If you comply with basic orders things will be better for everyone involved.

And the cop thought hanging on was a good idea? Just let go instantly and get the license plate number, really that simple.
