Cobweb mold

I have some colonized jars that I believe may contain cobweb mold. Does anyone know if cobweb mold has a particular smell? I cracked open a jar for the 1st time today and the rye grain smells more like some kind of cleaning product than it does good mycelium

I got a jar with some Dactylum mold in it and it smells different, a little like sourness and alcohol.

Looks like mycellium , mushroom mycellium. What kind of mushroom was it inoculated with? That can make a difference in smell Panaelous, Cubensis ect

Here's one more pic of the top of the jar. It seems very thick and wet as well

Mold or cobweb will usually colonise uneven and spewe spores everywhere.
Cobweb is wispy and stringy when ive seen it and puffs out when fully mature and smells like wet basement, mildew like.
That just looks like cube mycellium , some are more rizo while others aren't. Totally genetic. Id definitely go with it . I dont think there's anything wrong with it

Good info
Ya I figure I've made it this far and might as well just spawn it to bulk. I'll be able to better tell if it's mycelium once it starts to colonize the bulk sub too

This looks suspect to me. The mycelium has the same consistency as the jar pictures, that is for sure. I feel like you may need more FAE.

Suspect how? I'm not trying to be a pest, just worried as this mycelium seems to develop very quickly and is unlike anything I have delt with before

it might just not be very stongly reconnecting. 7 days after spawning or 7 days after fruiting.. spawning right? if so I don't think FAE is needed...

Now I'm confused...I am assuming fruiting conditions were introduced? because i see polyfill in that 2nd picture.

Fruiting conditions are just now being introduced. The polyfill was just JUST added today.
