Ya, 9 days has been the magic number for me in the past. This mycelium is much more aggressive tho which is kinda why I fruited it earlier. Have a couple other tubs of this stuff so I can still do some experimentation

Great! So now with the introduction of frequent air exchanges you should see that cottony mycelium turn into pins!

Awesome thanks!

So on the subject of FAE, this is something I ran into on a forum the other day while doing some research. Is what is said here about wiping the walls of the tub down to properly gauge if FAE is at an appropriate level correct? This is the first I have heard of this and seems like it could be a good thing to do to ensure proper fruiting conditions.

seems like using the condensation time is a good judge of humidity. take a look at this; http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17332777

no, that's moronic. condensation happens because of temp differences.
on the other side, you can use the dry rings as a measurement of how much fresh air is coming into the tub.
the link above my post is good but I think you misunderstood it if you think he says condensation = good rh.
check by day and a tub may not have condensation at all, night comes, room temps drop, living myc keeps inside of tub warmer and condensation happens! science!

no, it's actually quite normal. the laws of physics usually dont mess around that much, they tend to stay pretty constant.

Hope everything goes as planned, I leave everything alone and just look for dry rings around a half inch to make sure she's breathing a bit. I love how easy it tends to itself
