So these people could have been avoided being killed how?  By moving out of South Carolina?  Really?

It might have been avoided if his dad didn't buy him the gun, but I don't know. Even then it probably would have happened.

How am I supposed to know what could have avoided it? All I did was explain why minorities tend to segregate themselves. I never claimed to have a solution.

You implied that keeping minorities separate is easier, and you seem very hesitant to acknowledge racism, and point to that as the motivation for these acts.  The gun is to blame?  According to him because they were black, they were contributing to white women being raped, or some such nonsense.  That is an example of racial prejudice, but not all racism is so overt, and it is likely that an atmosphere of tolerating racism allowed this to happen.

Pointing out that it is likely that the people who you label a certain group will meet the standards of that label is pointless, and if you're trying to say that these percieved races don't mix you're obviously in denial.  The things that people say about "blacks", "Mexicans", "Negroes", "whites", etc are vague and simple generalizations, nothing more.  They're hardly even very accurate, as people love to look at a small group and assume that it must speak truths about their larger "race" whether there is evidence of that or not.

I actually read what you said several times, and gave you the chance to clarify yourself, but you continue to rely on questioning my judgement to validate your statements.

You're wrong that minorities tend to segregate themselves.  Do people with blue eyes segregate themselves?  Do people segregate by blood type?  Do they seperate by who has dimples or a big toe that is shorter than the toe next to it?

These are all inherited genetic traits, like skin color and the other things people point to as indicators of race.  Why aren't they segregated?

I think it's probably more insidious than that... the assumption it was motivated by race because race is the context in which some people think about black people.

The DC snipers were NOT race motivated.  The older one hatched the plan to kill his ex wife, but since he would have been considered the prime suspect, he was going to make her just another "random" sniper victim. The victims were a mix of races.

At Muhammad's trial, the prosecutor claimed that the rampage was part of a plot to kill his ex-wife and regain custody of his children, but the judge ruled that there was insufficient evidence to support this argument.

After his arrest, authorities also claimed that Muhammad admitted that he admired and modeled himself after Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda, and approved of the September 11 attacks. One of Malvo's psychiatric witnesses testified in his trial that Muhammad had indoctrinated him into believing that the proceeds of the extortion attempt would be used to begin a new nation of only young, "pure" black people somewhere in Canada.

Testimony of Lee Boyd Malvo

In John Allen Muhammad's May 2006 trial in Montgomery County, Maryland, Lee Boyd Malvo, who is serving a sentence of life without parole for his role in the shootings, took the stand and confessed to a more detailed version of the pair's plans. Malvo, after extensive psychological counseling, admitted that he was lying at the earlier Virginia trial where he had admitted to being the triggerman for every shooting. Malvo claimed that he had said this in order to protect John Allen Muhammad from the potential death penalty, because it was more difficult to achieve the death penalty for a minor. Malvo said that he wanted to do what little he could for the families of the victims by letting the full story be told. In his two days of testimony, Malvo outlined many very detailed aspects of all the shootings.

Part of his testimony concerned Muhammad's complete multiphase plan. His plan consisted of three phases in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metro areas. Phase One consisted of meticulously planning, mapping, and practicing their locations around the DC area. This way after each shooting they would be able to quickly leave the area on a predetermined path, and move on to the next location. John Allen Muhammad's goal in Phase One was to kill 6 white people a day for 30 days (180 per month). Malvo went on to describe how Phase One did not go as planned due to heavy traffic and the lack of a clear shot and/or getaway at different locations.

It might also have been because Malvo told investigators they planned on killing six random white people a day 'to terrorize the nation.'

Unless, as shroomslip proposed that black people killing black people is racially motivated, the racial theory of that crime spree falls apart with this image:
