Psilocybe galindoi '15

P. galindoi/ATL#7

Slant to MEA dish.
Sterilized rye grain spawn inoculated with agar wedge.
3 quarts were inoculated, 2 set aside to produce sclerotia one spawned
in a very small tub.
Substrate (~3qts) is horse manure, coir, vermiculite and gypsum (50/30/15/5) pasteurized
for 2 hrs.
Colonized in 8 days.
Cased with a thin layer of sifted and pasteurized cactus soil mix.
Pins appeared in 8 days.

I don't see why not, after all, they're Just As Easy As Cubes.
It isn't a true isolate, I've cloned sclerotia growing on MEA and fruited it many times.
And yes, I do have it in slants.

It actually became a pretty nice grow, large and healthy fruits with heavily sporulating caps.

I just spawned a mini mono of galindoi using the exact same substrate and spawn ratio day before yesterday.

I was planning to case with coir/verm. Cactus soil? Is it store bought or homemade? I grow cacti and have lots of that too!

Stonesun you seem to be the go to guy for all things stone producers? Mind answering a few questions in this thread if I have any?

My tub seems to be doing well but the spawn run has just begun.

Sure, I'll try.
I'm using store bought (Fafard brand) cactus soil.
I like to sift the twigs, bark and larger perlite out of it.
Sometimes I use Jiffy mix or the mix of the two.
