recreation vs sacrament
    #21408181 -

Hi everyone, i'm new here and i hope this is the correct forum for this if not please move this to the proper forum or atleast let me know.
I am around a bunch of people who just want to get fucked up every weekend and some do mushrooms just to see shit move. i guess i just want everyone to use them as a tool to advance spiritually philisophically and expand their consciousness and i want to help people acheive that. lets discuss ways to get people to reflect upon themselves.

check out the ONAC

http://nativeamericanchurches.org/membership/

not only do they view mushrooms as a sacrament, but as a member of their religion you can possess buy and transport mushrooms, weed, peyote and other sacraments without fear of arrest, and a get out of jail free card if you happen to find barney fife that doesnt understand the constitution.

Thank you so much for sharing that! I am a member of the Cherokee nation and I plan on joining this church, do they network in means of supporting access to sacrament, can you get peyote from them or mushrooms or cannabis?

i haven't joined yet, but i believe the answer is yes.

they network in terms of safe places to have services i know that for sure.

tribal membership is only $25

regular membership is $200

i havent attempted to become a member of any tribe, i believe i may qualify in the Cherokee nation through my father's mother, but i dont speak to him so it would be complicated for me to prove.

that said $200 is nothing. i just havent done it yet, if it were $25 i would have by now.

I emailed them a question, I'm somewhat Hindu in a universalist way and use mantras with dxm, I asked if they can provide sacrament form personal and private rituals. Om namah shivaya!

Amen brother, I just payed the $25 federal tribe membership, I'm not sure how you get the card, I suppose they shall email me

Recently the federal government gave Native American Tribes the go ahead to grow pot on their reservations too. Happened in December I think.

Will do, I'm very antsy about getting this card! I wish they sent confirmation emails, maybe they do once they read the submitted info.

I went to a Native American sweat once, it was great! They held it an ashram I stayed at to learn to be a yoga teacher, the Natives were from Canada!

worst case, you lose $25 bux.

best case: you have an open carry for earth based sacraments.

result: WORTH IT.

im pretty sure they dont have 10 employees  don't be too impatient.

Right on, I saw an article about a woman caught with pot that was a member of this tribe, the court said something like "we don't want to infringe on your personal religious practice" I lost track of it and am not sure how it went.

my goal is for all humans to have the right to the use of sacrament and in time for us to be collectively enlightened with no need for sacrament. the universe is a story and we are writers in its drama.!

that's awesome rxb.  I've come across a similar thing, another native american spiritual group who believes mushrooms are sacred, and I'm sure there are a lot of them actually; it's good to get one with a recommendation and info about them.

Trypt - I agree very much with your point, that these can be a useful enlightening, or at the very least peak experience of life (see the Farther Reaches of Human Nature, by Maslow, for a good discussion of peak experiences). .

the way that we use them can make such a big difference!  Like, if in a relaxed, peaceful way it can be beautiful or spiritual - yet, if the state of mind to begin with isn't close to this, then it seems to be a less-satisfying experience.  So I suppose one way to solve this is to always look at it as holy, and treat it with reverence.  I think - a good analogy would be sex; at its highest, sex is one of the most beautiful experiences; but if it is stripped of its better qualities, it becomes less and less satisfying as well.

I think it's just like anything else - can be used for good or ill; like a hammer and nails - they aren't inherently good or bad, but become good or bad when put to the purpose.
