Does anybody practice energized meditations?
    #2108234 - 11/15/03 01:03 AM (20 years, 4 months ago)

Tai Chi, Chi Gung, Tantra Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Chakra work, Orgone work, in relation to modern occultism, peganism, or any general bio-energetic manipulation? I would like to compare styles and descriptions of the energy felt and otherwise experienced.

I tend to use a method from the book "Astral Dynamics" which I picked up when I was younger, combined with a pinch of this and that. The energy feels like fields and ripples of tingles or accumulations of stored potential energy. This energy can be accumulated and moved and spread all over the body. I certainly recognize the chakras and to me they feel like small gravity wells, or points of pressure. There are other minor energy centers that I can feel but I don't get as specific as the maps that acupuncturists use. Not yet ^_^

love

I practice Tai Chi and Qi gong for my health

I am also starting to get heavy into self-acupressure
The hand, ear and head are my favorite places to practice
There are so many points on each one, each effecting certain organs and parts of the body. It's quite amazing.

What does Tai Chi and Qi Gong feel like to you?

Tai Chi feels very harmonious.. flowing.. relaxing.. I can feel my chi being harmonized and makes me feel in touch with Earth and my body.

Qi Gong feels powerful.. intense.. the chi is very noticeable... I can control the flow and it is potent.. it cleanses my body like nothing else.

Could either of you reccommend any good books for Tai Chi or Qi Gong techniques for the beginner?

Now, these books, Shroomism, did you learn Tai Chi and Qi Gong from them, or did you go someplace or have to have classes or something?

I am really interested in these types of things but like taking classes is not an option, if there even is classes such as these in this country..
Peace.

When I choose to I can send this weird pulse like sensation through my body. I only discovered it not long ago, when I was smoking some weed, and thought it was only some body buzz, but now I can do whenever I choose to. Its weird. Can anyone else relate or know what Im talking about, I'm very curious about it?
Thanks

I can do this when well relaxed or stoned as well. I can imagine some sort of feeling in some part of my body and I feel it. There were a couple of times when I would lay down with one of those stethoscopes on my heart, and would just zone out to my heartbeat. Simply amazing how strong I could get some of those feelings.
Peace.

In my case I practice Tai-chi and nei-kung (a form of chi-kung that uses body posture to increase chi)
Thou I am lazy to practice every day, when I did, the energy felt like I was burning up and had tingling sensations circulating in my tendons
That was with nei-kung.
With Tai-chi I felt more like an over all well being very relax and in the moment.
I definitely believe in chi, when I was practicing often I had so much energy, I could not contain it, in consequence my sex life was much more active, in other words I was always horny.

Going to be honest with you If you realy want good result find a teacher, It will take you about a year to learn the short form of tai-chi. and a life time to master it.
from a book or video you will not get the sutelness of the body postures for chi to flow properly.

Why do you think they call it a BUZZZZZZZZ? Take that pulse and move it everywhere you can around your body. Try to slow it down and speed it up. Try to put it in each of your finger tips one at a time, then all at once, then spread it over your hand and up your arm. Try and send it to your third eye and see if it feels different if it hovers there ^_^ Thats energy work brotha. Before you know it, you'll have it spread all over your body, and if your chakras are "cleaned out" you might find yourself BUZZing out of your body ^_~

This is somewhat off topic, but about ten minutes ago I found out that my sister's boyfriend cheated on her, so I was naturally pissed off. I was coming out of the bathroom and I was just kind of staring off into space, mentally enraged, and the soap container fell right off the wall! It was really tripy, for some reason I just started laughing and felt instantly better. Weird.

They're only coincidences if you shrug them off as such.
